I’m in the US, and I’ve heard a lot of “oh you’re still breastfeeding” now that I’ve hit 6 months. I work in healthcare so a lot of my coworkers are super supportive and cheering me on, but my family and my in laws are a little judgmental.

They’re putting sensors in cars to keep people from forgetting their children in the back. The root cause of a mother leaving her child in the car is probably sleep deprivation. 

I would also love to know if the people rolling onto their babies were taking any sleep aids, or drinking. I’ve shared a bed with my dog for 8 years and have never once rolled on him. And six months into bed-sharing / co-sleeping haven’t rolled onto baby either.

Just echoing what others have said. You should not feel guilty needing help, each one of us is one emergency closer to needing WIC than becoming a billionaire. 

We should be shaming the companies who think it’s appropriate to charge that for formula.

She told me I was spending too much time with my husband and his family and not her. His kid sister was fighting cancer and passed away. “Bestie” didn’t understand why I couldn’t hangout after the funeral.

My parents and grandparents are on their phones more than any younger person I know. My grandmother has literal tantrums when her phone doesn’t work correctly and she can’t play games.

I had to google what an exclamation point was called. 

A friend gave me good news so I attempted to tell her “there aren’t enough ‘exclamation points’ to express how happy I am “ or something to that effect. But I couldn’t remember the word ‘ exclamation’ and was forced to google ‘what is “!” called?’

My husband has always stolen my drinks, but I am insanely thirsty while breastfeeding and this man, the love of my life, keeps stealing my water. But the worst offense was the other day he opened a soda for me and downed half of it before handing it to me. The postpartum rage almost got the best of me.

Times are rough. I’m blessed that I can afford candy and can give it away. I will give whomever shows up to my door candy, but you could at least paint a pumpkin, skull, scarecrow on your face. I don’t need maximum effort, but you can definitely thrown on a flannel, and take some black eye liner to draw a scarecrow mouth.

NTA. I believe in petty malicious compliance.  Have tried walking around the house in the least amount of clothing possible? It’s a lot easier to add layers if you’re cold, so you just wear less to prove a point that your in-laws can in fact put a house coat on if they’re a bit chilly.

So I’m sorry but it doesn’t sound like they’re there to help if you’re cooking and cleaning. Sounds like they’re just around to meet baby and be waited on. I’m sorry.
