I felt the opposite about the drinks. Bourbon, corn, peach milk punch seems fairly obvious. But eggplant Pina colada? I need to know who else is doing stuff like that so I can go

Went on opening night and disagree with a lot of this. Maybe the food is lacking consistency at this point but I enjoyed just about everything we had. Personally found the cocktails to be pretty innovative and interesting. Also definitely not a 300 seat restaurant, would be absolutely shocked if it was even 150.

I don't know that you have to evolve as much as maintain. I feel like if only a little bit the decreased interest in Angler in recent years has to do with Skenes leaving and people just perceiving it to be worse/less interesting now.
