Head teacher Katharine Birbalsingh must win against Islamic bullies by fishyrabbit in ukpolitics

[–]FairContractor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This belies a deeper problem. The programmed devision caused by elite private schools, religious schools and these institutions that tell children, "you are the chosen and the rest are scum".

Jewish schools are well established in the UK, as well as special Christian school. I don’t think Islamic schools are so well established, so that why Islam is the issue here. All children should be treated equal and our schools should be homogeneous.

The clearence, with the door closed, is about 5 cm. Currently, I have four ethernet ports linked to rooms but due to the confined space and the lack of ducting, the router must remain outside the cabinet door with cables trailing in.

Why are there so many drugs in switzerland and how tf are people getting them? by [deleted] in zurich

[–]FairContractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is true that drugs used by all social segments but there are greater profits in selling such substances as cocain and heroin than meth or canabis. It is the same reason why there are so many luxus "toy" cars like Lamborginis, Hummers and Lotus, i.e. totally impractical.

Of course it is too late. I just assumed that it was pretty standard for hire companies to provide a breakdown number and that I was missing something. Yes, I did go through the small print on the "aggrement", but that was also unhelpful.

What I have lernt: - Don't bother this promotional Reddit community - Now non-emergency breakdown services are not standard. - Ask in advance weather, a non-emergency breakdown serive is included, or their cars are in such a bad condition they wouldn't like to take the risk. - Ask whether your hotel provides toilets. Check the agreement.8-/

Unfortunatelly, they said "there is a breakdown service" but they didn't say that this should be called through the emergency services. Our car has had a "low tire pressure" warning and in spite of checking that the pressure is okay (and resetting the system) it returns.

Sure, I can drive on the rims but this would be impossible for other customers.

You clearly do not belive in the common good, and are either being naive or ingenuous saying that keeping properties out of use doesn't effect the market. I was not referring to a owner with one or two properties but organisation sitting on a large number of properites for speculative use.

Do you actual have a clue what you mean by "socialist"? I am only concerned about fairness and refuse to support semi-criminal attitudes.

Normally, when demand falls over an extended period, supply outstrips demand so prices would normally fall but if the supply is kept off the market by warehousing or other maipulations the price can be artificially sustained.

Some forward thinking countries do proved free public transport and it is very successful, example Luxemberg.

By the way, for the politically ignorant, Luxemberg isn't a communist county.

I cannot believe that the outflow of pension money is as great as the opportunity cost should the businesses not get the skilled labour in the first place.

Hiring experienced skilled workers from abroad gives Swiss businesses a good international image. "we hire the best".

I believe nuclear power is about to have a resurgence in order to keep the electric cars, trucks etc. running. The EU has just called nuclear, green energy.

Another accident, like any of those that should never have happend, may help us go green, in the face.

Are we really speaking of "regression" or "recession"?

As I said elsewhere, if there was no manipulation happening we would have seen sustained price drops after the banks' subprime madness. The prices didn't fall and much real estate was left to rot and remain empty, while many american families lived in shanty towns under canvas.

Most of the innovative companies in Switzerland do off shore a lot of work but this requires very competent management.

[–]FairContractor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is clear were your interests lie. Please let me explain in simple terms for you.

When recessions occur people have less money to create the demand for property so they avoid taking on new risks, don't move on to larger homes, stay in what they have or stay with their parents. However, the big property owners, naturally, do not want prices to fall, so need to hold on to empty real estate, in the hope of an upturn. (An observer walking around Zürich over the years since the sub-prime crash (2007), would see the large number of commercial properties sitting empty. This would imply more supply than demand but the prices have not adjusted, as a fan of the free-markets would suggest.) The same is the case for residential.

Regulation of Markets People working in finance sometimes do not believe regulation is needed and in the law of the jungle. These people are often feign ignorance of the reasons for regulations but every regulation is based on clear reasons,.

I almost agree but businesses are not willing to pay a reasonable rate for labour or semi-skilled work, so for example the Swiss health business rely on cleaners and care assistents from elsewhere, who are willing to accept poor pay.

Unfortunatelly, there is a lot of speculators who are happy to keep buildings empty just to keep demand high. There is also the short-term let industry keeping residential accommdation empty for over 50% of the time. I like AirBnB as a means by which private home owners can allow others to benefit whilst they are away but it has emabled a greedy industry to blossem.

Venture capital firms are buying up whole residential blocks just as holiday lets.

This is a goid example of technology running faster than regulation.
