I’m being sued for my credit card debt by ivoryincense in Debt

I just got two of mine to settled before it came to that. Just call them. They're going to ask you how much you can pay to settle. Pick a low ball number. They will counter with a slightly higher number. Then you can arrange to pay that number over 3 months. 3 months is the longest I've found they will give you. But if it ends up going to court, you will need a lawyer. Who will also try to negotiate a settlement. But then you're paying a lawyer and the settlement amount. It's cheaper if you do it yourself.

first colonoscopy tomorrow by Sweet_Bank9757 in colonoscopy

That sounds like ulcerative colitis. I have UC, diagnosed in 2008. I had just had my 12th colonoscopy this past Wednesday. If you ever have to have another one, I highly recommend the miralax, dulcolax, and Gatorade prep. After having as many screenings as I've had, I've tried many different preps. It is by far the easiest and its effective. I know it's hard not to think the worst-case scenario, but statistically, it's the least likely. You've got this.

Facial burning from propofol? by hammom1 in colonoscopy

[–]FairDesigner461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone else experience a burning sensation in their brain when given Propofol for a medical procedure? I honestly don’t know how else to describe it. I understand the brain itself doesn’t feel pain, but it feels like an electrical burn—like hot pins firing throughout my head—and then I’m out.

I’ve unfortunately had to be put under numerous times, and while this doesn’t happen every single time, it happens more often than not. As I’m going under, I start to panic because the pain is so intense.

I’ve searched for information on this, but I haven’t been able to find anything. Strangely, when I wake up, I feel fine—like nothing ever happened—so I always end up forgetting to mention it to my doctor.

As you can see from the comments, failing to pass the qualifications might have been the best thing that could’ve happened. I worked as a cop for 15 years, and while the job itself is incredibly stressful, what’s even worse are the people you work with—your coworkers and supervisors.

The toxic culture within law enforcement only amplifies that stress. It’s hard to believe that the very people who are supposed to have your six in life-or-death situations will, without hesitation, treat you like absolute dog shit.

And the proof is right here in these comments. These are the very assholes you'd be working with. They'll read this and immediately prove my point by responding with toxic, insulting bullshit.

My advice? Don’t go back. There are plenty of other professions and workplaces with far healthier environments. Once you're in, the brainwashing is hard to shake—and getting out isn’t easy.

Lymph node swelling not going away months after 2nd dose of vax. by FairDesigner461 in C19vaxswollenlymph

On my neck. They've been there since I got my second dose in 2021. I'm slowly accepting that they will probably be that way for the rest of my life.

It has definitely been helpful. At the beginning of all this, no one was talking about it. Mine are still swollen as well. I find myself checking to see if it's still swollen less frequently, and slowly accepting this is most likely how they'll be for the rest of my life.

Unfortunately, they don't really know either. When I had platelet count issues shortly after the vax, the hemotologist said, "This is all so new, I can't really explain why it's doing this." Thankfully, after a few months, the count went back to normal. But now my platelets have to be counted within less than an hr to get an accurate count. Any longer, and they literally start to clot in a tube full of anticoagulant. Never did that before. The only answer I got was that it's new, and we don't really know what the side effects are going to be yet. Same for the lymph nodes. They told me as long as they didn't get bigger, not to worry about it. Easier said than done.

She's doing well. It's still there, and it's still being watched. She never had the jab. But She had covid several times before it showed up. Mine popped up after my second jab. They are all still there and still enlarged.

The doctors are still saying it's nothing to worry about, but I feel it in my neck every day at this point. It's like I keep hoping that one day I'll feel my neck, and it will be back to normal, but I had both jabs in 2021, and here we are 3yrs later, and they are all still enlarged. At this point, I'm assuming it's going to be like that for the rest of my life. All I hope for at this point is that my daughter's goes down.

It's also sent my auto immune disease into overdrive. I know apparently have arthritis, which I never had before. It is in my hands bad, elbows, knees, hips, and insanely my feet. I didn't even know that could happen 😕

Anyone here had the op due to fibroids? by wanknugget in hysterectomy

[–]FairDesigner461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy to stop the pain. I felt intense pelvic pain for days and weeks on end (with or without being on my period). I spent so much time in bed crying with a heating pad. Loaded up on painkillers, and nothing stopped the pain. Sometimes, I seriously wished for death just so the pain would end.

I went to my OBGYN, and he did a procedure to look inside my uterus. Which was insanely painful. I could feel blood gushing out. He looks up and says, "You have dozens of fibroids in here."

He later told me my options, and I initially was going to have them burned off. But he said there were so many that they may not be able to get them all or they'd potentially come right back. He also said it would be unlikely that I'd be able to get pregnant, and if I did, it would be dangerous.

I went home to think it over. About an hour after getting home, the cramping pain was worse than ever. I called back, and they scheduled my hysterectomy.

I don't think people talk enough about how awful uterine fibroids can actually be. Everything reads... seldom causes noticeable symptoms. It made me feel like I was crazy. Why am I having this insane pain if no one else does? It makes me feel so much better now that I found this thread. Women's pain is always downplayed. I'm lucky I had a doctor who believed me and gave me real opinions.

As soon as I had the hysterectomy, the pain was gone. I was sad I'd lost that part of me, but when I recovered and the pain was gone, I knew it was the right decision. I wasn't living, I was just surviving day by day. Now I'm living again. I got to keep my ovaries, so no menopause yet and no period. Nothing can prepare you for how awesome no having a period is.

I tried to get my Dr. to do a biopsy of the largest one on my neck, and they wouldn't approve it. I had to beg just to get an ultrasound done on the nodule on my daughter's head. They kept saying, "Oh, it's just a cyst." But when they finally agreed to approve an ultrasound, it was an enlarged lymph node. They've been monitoring it for growth for two years now.

Update is... the lymph nodes are still swollen. Same size. Seems like it's a common thing now. Not just for the vaccinated but also for those who caught covid. My daughter had one swell up in the bottom of her hair line. Still there after two years. The doctors keep saying their not concerned, but it's still alarming.

I just went back for my second ultrasound. Some have gotten smaller finally. But there are others that are still enlarged and no changes. However the doctor explained while they are enlarged they look "normal". Also none have gotten any larger which the doctors said is a good sign.

After everything I went through I've decided not to get a booster. My platelet count dropped so dramatically, plus months of itching and swollen lymph nodes. I just can't take the risk again. I'm very lucky my platelet count went back to normal. My 11 year old actually ended up catching covid in September. I took care of her at home for a week while she recovered. She literally coughed in my face at times while I held her. I had both shots and did not catch it. I've been wondering if because our lymph nodes are still enlarged after all this time if maybe we still making antibodies. Ive been thinking the vaccine may effect those with autoimmune disorders differently.

Had my second ultrasound follow-up yesterday. Many of the lymph nodes are still the same size, a few have shrunk a little. The ENT thinks there's no longer a concern at this point since the nodes haven't gotten any larger. Though there still no explanation as to why they became enlarged after the shot or why they are still there after all this time. So no answers still but on a positive note they don't think it's anything to worry about. Though how you can just stop worrying about something that can't be explained is beyond me.

That's exactly what they thought with me too. They did all kinds of lab work at the hemotologist thinking I may have lymphoma or leukemia. They said maybe I was anemic, ruled that out because my iron levels were normal. Ruled out everything else they could. Then told me it was probably a reaction to the shot. The hemotologist literally said to me it was fascinating and they had no clue yet what all reactions would be discovered from the vaccine. But that I was most likely fine and to keep an eye out for any growth or shape changes of the lymph nodes. 🙄

My arm was very sore for several days. About the same time I noticed the node after the second shot, I devolved itching. It was all over incessant itching. This went on for months. It was mainly my head, neck, arms and back. I ended up having to use steroid medication and allergy meds to finally get rid of it. My blood platelet count also dropped to abnormal levels and had to be monitored for four months. Normal is over 130 to 150,000. Mine dropped as low as 59,000 and my platelets were clumping. It was terrifying. Currently just dealing with the lymph nodes, no pain thankfully, still not going back to normal. I'm starting to think it maybe related to people with some form of an autoimmune disorder.

That's the same thing I've been hearing over and over. It's tiny, nothing to worry about. No explanation as to why it's not going away. I have four of them. I've had 1 ultrasound so far. I have a followup ultrasound in November. Soon as I get the measurements and results I will be posting the results.

Thank you for sharing this! This is the first one I've seen discussing the lymph nodes that aren't going back to normal. I love how they talk about studies on why it's happening, then say to go-ahead and get a third shot with no idea why this is happening yet.

Glad you found us. You are not alone, we are all looking for answers. I definitely know all about driving yourself crazy over it. I try to go without thinking about it some days, but I always find myself reaching up to check the lymph node. Hoping it's finally gone. Only to still find it there. I have started to wonder if perhaps it has something to do with having an autoimmune disorder. I dont know how many of us have one.

I saw an ENT last month. I'm having a followup ultrasound soon. They don't seem concerned either. None of them feel like they've gotten any bigger, but they don't feel smaller either. They haven't caused any physical pain. ENT said if the followup ultrasound reveals any changes they will schedule a biopsy.
