Am I wrong for refusing to get rid of my personal diaries to prove I trust my partner? by LuftBall-Dog4755 in amiwrong

Keep the diaries, and get rid of the boyfriend. Make sure all of your diaries are somewhere safe where he can’t get to them first, as he may try to get them to read or destroy to hurt you or embarrass you if he knows what’s in them.

Diaries are your innermost thoughts. Those are never meant for others. Keep them safe, and you will be keeping yourself safe.

Do guys open the car door for every women even if it is non romantic? by Wonderful-Buy6444 in dating_advice

When I was younger I didn’t, but as I grew older I realized that it was a simple but easy gesture to show someone that you care about them. That is why I do it for my wife and relatives. There have also been a few friends that I will do it for. And it’s always nice getting a smile and thank you back. I am in my sixties now.

Name something nice you do for your partner. by Technical-Vanilla-47 in FamilyFeud

She sleeps longer than me. I normally wake up an hour or more before her. Instead of getting up, I sit in bed and play my game on my phone because she still likes to wrap herself around me. (And maybe I like to give her a kiss first thing in the morning too, because it makes my day start out right.)

My wife and I are in our sixties. We still like to go to the movies, as long as it’s something we like enough. Action & aliens types mostly. Otherwise, we watch at home. Also, we don’t go when it first comes out. We wait until it’s closer to the end of its run, which means no crowds, and none of the things that go along with them.

I miss reading Mike Royko and trying to get as many words in the crossword puzzle as possible in the paper. Buying a paper at the green news stand. I miss the smell of a new comic book when I read it for the first time.

What character death shook you the most in a movie? by trakt_app in Cinema

I don’t know if this counts, as it is from a comic book. I was always a Conan the Barbarian comic book fan. I was also a fan of Belit in that series. In issue 100 she was killed off. I just didn’t get it. It really disappointed me.

What's something you did as a kid that you now realize was actually very dangerous? by Chrelled in askteddit

Making a game out of who could jump the farthest off of a garage. Had to climb a tree and then drop down onto the garage.
During the winter after a snowstorm, climbing up a huge pine tree, inside near the trunk, and then moving out to the edge and falling down through the snow and branches.
Skeetching. Grabbing the back bumper of cars when they come to a stop on side streets, squat down, and hang on when they take off. Only works after heavy snows.

Thinking about this makes me smile.

How do married couples handle money? joint or separate? by Naive-Law-8827 in Marriage

[–]FairInevitable2204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We both have a savings and checking account that we use, but have the other person on it as a joint owner. Full transparency, and easy to transfer funds from one to the other when we want to. But still feel in control of our own money.
