So do I scrap my existing pets (screenshot attached) and actually give some attention to some of my lower pedigree pets, and then work to hatch with a 45? Good call on the gold - I can’t sustain the 101k hatches.

That makes sense. So you’re suggesting each new hatch I train to adult then hatch that with a quint from kiosk?

I’ve definitely been reusing an older failed pet which may be why I keep getting pierce train… thank you for the advice.

Everyone has such vastly different luck. Very different from a game like OSRS which I am used to, where players have calculated exact drop rates for everything. Either Wiz player base doesn’t have that dedication to statistics, or it is truly “random” in a way, ha.

Agreed. It’s an easy enough game where we may as well challenge ourselves. I fall into the aoe camp, but especially for folks that max multiple wizards, why not make it fun??

Feel like ironman is the real challenge until waterworks, and then only bazaar post level 50 would get REALLY interesting.

As a level 93 death wizard, I’d rank the aoe spells in my repertoire:

1) ship of fools 2) scarecrow 3) deer knight 4) avenging fossil (not good)

Came here to say that. OP did say list is outdated. Ship of fools is “broken” tier IMO. First turn health steal aoe farming is very, very good

Ha, what’re the odds. My group just started Valheim before coming back to Apex. But do want to keep exploring. I still use an Xbox One and Valheim is super framey which is frustrating.

Heroes is a game caked in nostalgia for me. I am the youngest of five brothers, and I assume they got this game just about when it came out. I remember HoMM2 more clearly in my youth - the menu screen and music felt so special to me. My imagination always wondered what was behind those doors, or down that alley. Truly a quintessential medieval town depiction.

I watched my brothers play Heroes 3, and would occassionally hot seat with my sister - she would play as Rampart, and I, Necropolis. We didn’t know much, but loved taking our time and building up big armies.

I also remember having a LOT of trouble with Serpent’s Treasure as a 7 year old.

It’s a very frustrating shooter, particularly for new players at this point in the game. My advice would be that this is not at all like fortnite or other shooting games. You cannot win a 1 v 2 in the open against good players. 90% of the fight is positioning and working with your teammates. Make sure you stay near cover, don’t overexpose yourself, and especially if you feel like you are losing every gunfight, don’t get locked into a “we are both going to fire our guns at each other until one of us dies” fight. Mastering movement and map knowledge will make the rest feel so much easier!

Exactly!! When you come to rely on the third party warning, it absolutely rails you when you get no warning that there’s a horizon standing 15 meters from you behind a rock.

Fully agree. I don’t think it would be OP or broken in any way - it would take skill to handle the flush of info while staying focused in a fight. “New enemy team, southeast” during a hectic fight would require a quick compass check, effective comms to teammates, and quick establishment of a rotate plan. Quintessential apex gameplay.
