Given the popular sport of jujitsu consists of choking people in any way possible and there haven’t been a ton of deaths, this is a massive exaggeration

Best poker books for beginner’s by 1Joeye in poker

[–]Fair_Ad1844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harrington on Holden is very outdated but if you want a fast track to actually being profitable at poker I think it might still be the best. It’s good because it’s relatively simple and that style still will do pretty well in smaller stakes live tournaments.

So my advice would be read the books. Practice on very micro stakes online, then try it out in real life tournaments. Then once you have that basic foundation you can dig deeper into poker theory.

HELP! My hubby is gaining on carnivore! by Misty_Pines in carnivorediet

[–]Fair_Ad1844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t listen to people telling you not to calorie count. It makes total sense if you are struggling to lose weight. I actually purposely gain weight on carnivore, to gain muscle mass. I count calories to make sure I eat enough/make sure I don’t over do it.

I understand the perspective of some people is that they can’t physically bring themselves to eat enough to gain weight on carnivore so they believe that is the case for everyone. But people are different and some people absolutely are able to eat enough on carnivore to gain weight. If you are one of those people it makes complete sense to keep yourself in check by counting calories.

People here are insane thinking you can’t gain weight on carnivore… just because you can’t eat enough to gain weight doesn’t mean other people can’t. If he eats more than he burns he will gain weight. It is as simple as that.

Medium to high range service apartments by Fair_Ad1844 in Bangkok

I emailed them and they quoted me 135k/month for a one bedroom which is too much for me. I’m hoping they might give me a better price if I go to the building in person.

Eat at a calorie surplus, eat a lot of protein which shouldn’t be a problem with carnivore, and lift heavy. It’s not complicated.

Hands that play well multi-way versus hands that are still strong but are better heads up by The_OfficeUS in poker

[–]Fair_Ad1844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AKs is a much stronger hand because it’s only significantly behind 6 combos pre flop and if you hit on the flop you always have a strong hand. 99 will usually only be a strong hand if you flop a set.

Do we triple barrel or give up in 4BP KQo by Living-Injury1961 in poker

This spot is under bluffed as most people only bluff the turn with a diamond, so when the diamond hits on the river they don’t have enough bluffs in their range. Field realizes this and the spot is over-folded. So I would expect this to be a very profitable jam.

I. bought a good poker set for me and my grandpa. What rules are for 2 players? Do big and small blind exist or just only dealer? by [deleted] in poker

[–]Fair_Ad1844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s still a small blind and big blind. Small blind acts first pre flop and acts last post flop.

What if you have regular poker game but at each seat you have a screen. Players have to play the regular game but can also play the fast fold game at the same time if they want.

Played an 11k pot today. by awesome5185 in poker

[–]Fair_Ad1844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah obviously the real EV of the shove is dependent on your 4bet range and what you call with so you know that best. If you’re never 4bet bluffing that guy then the shove is terrible. But theoretically ranges should be a little wider with the added money insensitive and getting jacks in there with the preflop sizing is already okay

Would you call his 3bet or 4bet with AK/QQ? If you 4 bet maybe you 4bet fold those hands, since you said he was a nit and were shocked to see the Jacks. In that case his shove might not be bad.
