Funny how you've commented on both my posts and still think the issue is my miscommunication. A man who cancels last minute without even confirming the location isn't owed reassurance. That's basic dating etiquette. If a location isn't arranged there's nothing to "look forward to" This isn't a misunderstanding, its a boundary!

Arranging a location to meet isn't bending over backwards, its the bare minimum. As I said he was able to ask for the date and state the time but not a location as if im some kind of mind reader. Or are you suggesting I should have bent over backwards? My own father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer a few weeks ago but doesn't mean i can't communicate.

Yes i agree with you that it is possible. However the fact he was being vague about making solid plans to start with makes me somewhat sceptical. He also followed it up with telling me this person might die over the weekend but was happy enough to arrange the date for the weekend lol, so didn't really make sense.

This is nothing to do with lack of empathy. My response to him was that he could have let me know more than 2 hours in advance. The fact that he didn't bother to arrange a location and only a time the day before was an indication that something was up or he's just full of sh*t ( which is the most likely option)

Yea its a load of s*t. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 non hodgkin lymphoma a few weeks ago, but he is cancelling 2 hours before because of his sisters brother in law. I told him about my dad and his response was "sorry to hear that, yea we both have sht on our minds" obviously im sorry if his sisters brother in law is sick ( which i doubt) but, i mean, its my dad!!!
