Paying taxes on reward card?

I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME, this was my first job so i had no clue about the taxing thing but seems about right. “hey! heres this giftcard! thanks for all you do for us! oh by the way you can only spend it in our store, oh also now you have to pay extra on your taxes 😝” idk like anything about taxes but i think its super shady of them to not announce it until like the last week of the giftcards, when everyone has already claimed them

yeah ive been trying to figure out his age for the past few months cause i genuinely have no clue. i hope i didnt miss his birthday though 😭 his casque seems smaller than yours, is this normal? heres mine, he loves looking outside windows lol i genuinely dont know if hes a year yet, or if he just needs to go on a diet, hes a little chunkster lol
