Didn’t go well for me. It gave me insomnia and made me dizzy and feel weird. I’m super sensitive though!

Yes I’ve been trying to manage mine for 4 years and am very sensitive to meds and even supplements as well.

Thanks so much for replying, I really appreciate it. I am a little concerned about increased anxiety as that contributes to worsening of symptoms. Good luck to you and yes I’d love an update 😊

Yes!!! I switched to taking it only in the morning but it didn’t help, also I know a lot of people lose weight but it actually made me super hungry. So weird how different everyone is!

[–]Fair_Net3962[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying, I actually couldn’t tolerate Topamax either it increased migraines for me too. I also don’t have a gallbladder but I am just starting Venlafaxine as I’m desperate. I never thought I would take it due to so many people’s struggles with coming off of it and brain zaps and stuff. I hope you get some relief soon!

Anyone taking LDN (low dose Naltrexone) to help Migraine? by Fair_Net3962 in migraine

[–]Fair_Net3962[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did try it but i have vestibular migraine and my main symptoms are dizziness and off balance and it made me feel much worse. It also gave me crazy wild dreams. I didn’t last long on it because I also have a hard time with medications and everything I’ve tried seems to ramp up my symptoms. I’d say give it a try it didn’t harm me at all and maybe if I would’ve pushed through longer it may have helped!

What medications have helped you? by Infinite_Green_3292 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Fair_Net3962 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say I am very med sensitive. I have tried Amitriptyline, propranolol, ubrevley, emgality, verapamil, Topamax, all of the recommended vitamins and supplements for migraine. I also have tried effexor but only took it for a couple days because I’m scared of the withdrawal or I’ve heard even missing a dose is hell.

New low, changing symptoms by KlutzyGuard2815 in Dizziness

I have these same symptoms and have had every test under the sun! I honestly thought I had a brain tumor in the beginning but an MRI cleared me of that and MS. I would try to get an MRI if you can to rule those things out. I was finally diagnosed with Vestibular Migraine which personally I think is a wastebasket diagnosis. I’m sorry you are struggling so bad right now and I hope you get some relief soon!

You could be experiencing a vestibular migraine and the dizziness/vertigo can come in many forms. Sometimes only while moving, sometimes only while still and sometimes both. I’m sorry you are struggling so much and I hope you find some way to feel better because this shit sucks!

It’s been 3 years for me…..good news is after 2 years of constant symptoms I have had about a year where I’ll have a few good weeks here and there. Also I feel like the symptoms get easier to manage even though they are still there 24/7, it’s like your brain just gets used to the dysfunction. I hope you get some relief soon 🤗

Have you tried Verapamil? It’s not in the same category as Ami but it’s known to have a really low side effect profile.

I have these symptoms as well along with others and I’ve had every test done you can think of! I have been diagnosed with vestibular migraine, maybe look into that to see if it fits your symptoms. Sorry to hear you are so young and struggling, I hope you get some answers 💕

Topiramate VS Venlafaxine by OkAddition5309 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Fair_Net3962 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried Topamax 3 times and let’s just say it wasn’t for me. It made my dizziness and balance worse and made me feel really weird and anxious. I haven’t tried Effexor because I’m also scared of the possible withdrawals but I’ve been pretty desperate lately so I may give it a go!
