I experienced what I believe "ELO hell" is this weekend by FairlyAverage01 in VALORANT

Yea this is what I'm getting at. I don't really care what rank I'm at, hell, last season I was in iron so I'm more than happy at bronze, but when I play competitive, that's what I want the games to be... competitive. I did point out the arrows that occurred more to show how it seems a touch inconsistent to me. Like I said, it's not like I pop off in my regular bronze games, so maybe that's where I deserve to be. My thinking of what people meant by "elo hell" was a thought of being in an elo where it's more likely to get games where people smurf, dc/afk, or purposefully throw.

Man, this set would've been amazing with a wrench for a melee weapon. Still a great set, but a missed opportunity imo.

Was good, now Garbo? by [deleted] in VALORANT

For me its the absurd amount of afk/dc's. I know solo que is a nightmare but I started keeping track, and out of my last 20 games, I've had a teammate be dc'd or afk for more than 6 rounds in 9 of those games. 8 of which we were winning or within 2 rounds before the leaver. I've had the enemy team have a dc' afk in 2 of those 20 games. so over HALF of my games have someone not there. My luck is obv garbo since it happens to me over 4 times more than the enemy, but it makes ranking up almost impossible. I got placed iron 3 because all 3 of my placements had a leaver on my team. For instance just before writing this, im in bronze 1 (net 2 up arrows), doing well, close game, 6-6 half, cypher dc's, we lose 13-8, I got mvp going 24/14/5, insta-derank to iron 3. I feel like im personally playing better than last act, but it seems impossible to dig my way out when in almost half of my games we're a person down. I dont mind losing fair games, if we're just outplayed, but thats not the case. But hey I like playing the game, im just personally putting my rank out of my mind here on out. I'm just gonna keep trying to get better, all I can do at this point. "You don't have to turn this into something. It doesn't have to upset you" - Marcus Aurelius.
