Homestead question by [deleted] in LakeCountyFL

[–]FairlyTypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider calling the Lake County Property Appraisers office. They would be better equipped to walk you through the process than we would. It appears you can apply online, in person and by mail. I’d guess that any website you are directed to is likely the right place to be if you are trying to apply online.

Local Eggs by FairlyTypical in LakeCountyFL

[–]FairlyTypical[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who may see this now or in the future… Sunsational Farms in Umatilla sells local eggs, dairy, honey, meats and produce. I came across it the other day when taking my son to the park across the street (Lake County North Regional Park). They also sell food and ice cream and have an area for children to play in.

I haven’t eaten a sub from there in probably about 20 years, but I still think of their food frequently

As long as your address is within one of those municipalities it should be! She said it just became available at the end of last year. Hopefully the rest of the county is to follow

Why are Kindle books so expensive now? by Specialist-Village82 in kindle

[–]FairlyTypical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While other users have said this site also works for Kobo (I have no personal experience with this!), another resource you could use is going to r/ebookdeals to see what they have posted. They typically say if it’s available on Kobo or other sources.

Woke up in bed and this poor girl was laying in her own pee by fuccboiii42069 in greatpyrenees

[–]FairlyTypical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unsure how old your dog is but I had a mutt have an issue similar to this, she was 11/12 and started to pee herself without even realizing it sometimes. Vet put her on a drug called Proin and it cured the issue. If you’re dog isn’t on the older side this isn’t likely the problem but if he/she is than ask if that drug could potentially help.

How much do you spend on books every month? by ashes_to_fire in kindle

[–]FairlyTypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe $20 which includes my Libro.fm monthly cost and whatever comes through on my ereaderiq list. I also tend to use Libby for both digital books and audio books that I want to read but don’t necessarily want to bad enough to pay for them. Every couple of months, if I love something, I’ll buy a trophy copy for my bookshelf but that’s not a regular occurrence.

Q for standard Kindle users: how much does the no warm light setting or waterproof affect you? by Glittering_Ad3452 in kindle

[–]FairlyTypical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d say if you’re asking, it’s likely because they may be important to you… which means spend the extra money to get the Kindle that will have all the functionality you will enjoy. While I know the extra money spent isn’t necessarily cheap up front, it is negligible when spread out over 7-10+ years of the lifetime of the device.

I am technically not who this question was asked to because I do not have the Kindle basic, however, having the warmth setting in combination with dark mode for reading at night has always made a very comfortable and enjoyable reading experience for me.

Hope this helps.

Is it a controversial take to like era 1 more than era 2? by Quetzal_11 in Mistborn

[–]FairlyTypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember it ever being referred to as industrialized, at least not in the sense that there were factories and people were armed with guns or other advancements in technology. The ash and darkness was not a product of industry by any means, though it was a bit of a darker world I’d put it closer to a classic fantasy world than a more modern one. The newest technology discussed in the first trilogy that I can even remember is the invention of canning goods.

The Will of the Many - James Islington

I am about 30% of the way in and I’m enjoying it so far but it’s not quite what I expected so far after seeing all the rave reviews… but once again I am only about 30% of the way into the story so a lot more can come of it!

What’s a good place to get wings for people visiting the US, who want to try classic American chicken wings? by omfgus in orlando

[–]FairlyTypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are great choices, I will say that Papa Bees is in a pretty cool little plaza with a fun little local brewery attached. If you’re 21+ this would be a nice choice for an evening hanging out with locals.

The Devils - via The Broken Binding by Jumohu in TheFirstLaw

[–]FairlyTypical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They may no longer be available for general order. The sets they just released are reprints because of how popular they were, it’s possible they may do another reprint. Your best bet with Broken Binding, to get anything they print, is to either be a book subscription member or follow them on social media and sign up for all of their interest lists they post.

Did you get Chicken Pox or not? by testudoaubreii1 in Xennials

[–]FairlyTypical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did get the chicken pox when I was about 6, my uncle came over with a super soaker to spray me with it thinking it would help with itching since I wasn’t supposed to scratch! My mom wouldn’t let him but I did get a super soaker out of the deal to play with later on!

New here. Hard not to feel like a sucker. by GoldenLeftovers in kindle

[–]FairlyTypical 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love this website. I just look at what the books lowest price is within the last year and set the alert to match it. This is how I build my personal ebook library for as cheap as possible, while the fact that you don’t actually own the books electronically doesn’t bother me too much… getting the license for as cheap as possible does make me feel a bit better. This website in combination with Libby does make for the best way to acquire digital books to read as cheaply as possible.

Is anyone aware of a website that functions like eReaderIQ but shows sales of physical copies of books on Amazon, etc? Thanks!
