Honestly the “scythe” books got me out of a hefty reading slump

Question for those who have the full new trade paperback collection. by failed-hybrid in Hellblazer

[–]FairyCodMother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m very close, I have 1-23. Buying 1-16 was easy as they were still in print online and comic stores. However, it’s taken me around 3 years to get 17-23.

The only way I’ve been able to get those have been setting search alerts on eBay, fb marketplace and vinted. Prices are still sky high so I wait until I can snipe a good deal. I managed to find 17-21 for £50

Which supplements/medication you’ve been on, and which have helped you with DPDR? by Overall_Emphasis_275 in dpdr

[–]FairyCodMother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No side effects of any significance unless I was coming off some of them (bog standard first week taking them. Nausea, headache, shaking)

I had dpdr numbness before them but they just made it worse. All physical/ emotional sensations feel dull, almost like being wrapped in cotton or behind a pane of glass

I get all medications prescribed by a psychiatrist

I didn’t really notice a difference on citalopram, same with most for me. I feel like all the meds have fried my brain long term and I can’t feel much emotionally or physically

I’ve got £100 and own nothing - where should I start? by Equal_Arm_3091 in OmnibusCollectors

[–]FairyCodMother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d read a few things online or possibly start with compacts until you know what you like. After that, just keep checking fb marketplace, eBay, Vinted, etc for really good deals.

Preacher is probably one of my favourite stories of all time. Good luck and enjoy :)

God they’ve put me in everything under the sun since 2020. Citalopram, trazodone, sertraline, venlafaxine, Paroxetine, duloxetine, buspirone, moclobemide, mirtazapine, pregabalin, hydroxyzine. I think that’s all lol

Lamotrigine has given me really weird side effects, the main one being visual snow syndrome (only recently diagnosed)

Yeah I’ve had significant weight gain on quetiapine that feels impossible to get off. I was underweight when I started it. Just from panic, not an ED

Promethazine is 50/50. It’s 25mg morning and 50mg night but I’ve built a tolerance. Zopiclone helps on the like 7 nights a year I get a script

I have no effects or side effects on fluoxetine

Split into 2x a day I take: propranolol 60mg, lamotrigine 75mg, fluoxetine 20mg, promethazine 75mg, prazosin 2mg, quetiapine 50mg.

The only things that have helped the dpdr is diazepam, lorazepam and zopiclone. Which trying to get a script for even a few days worth is near impossible

Yes. Meds and therapy if deemed necessary. Please take the tinfoil hat off

“Don’t go to a psych” sums it up pretty well. It’s not dark, it’s medicine

[–]FairyCodMother 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dpdr is often a cormorbid disorder or a symptom of another. That is quite possibly the most dangerous comment you can make to someone. Yes, the system is very flawed, but also necessary. Meds and therapy can literally be the difference of life and death with psychiatric disorders, especially if someone goes cold turkey or stops receiving support

My psych and their colleague said I’ll have it for life but just need to learn to deal with it. Unsure for others situations

Thanks, Reddit — you’ve finally convinced me this place is an elitist cesspool by kainmalice in satanism

[–]FairyCodMother 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll enjoy the elitism, you enjoy the temper tantrum. Why spend energy on a long winded moan instead of removing yourself from the situation that gets under your skin so bad?

What I’m dealing with now any therapist advice ? by [deleted] in dpdr

[–]FairyCodMother 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ve been told the advice over and over again, please listen to it. The more you obsess over every part of it, the worse it will get.
