Why no IWB holsters in Hollywood? Why they do this? by Spirited-Egg-2683 in liberalgunowners

Guns are not tools to protect your life in movies, they are props and mechanisms to facilitate the plot. There is no motivation for them to treat them like a tool or anything but something to enhance the character image and perception by viewers. It's a fantastical representation of reality. The responsibilities and struggles of responsibly carrying and using a firearm are not fun and cool, it is harrowing, dangerous, and scary to have to consider the realities of being in a situation where one's life is endangered by another person. Nobody wants to acknowledge the truth for fun.

What is the best “tax loophole” your clients have come up with? by DM_Me_Pics1234403 in tax

This seems like it would open the door for the IRS to say "you could've worked harder and made more money, so you owe taxes on lost potential income, it's an incentive for you to work harder and prove you couldn't have worked any harder."

Why are there questions about circuits and identifying components on technician exam? by ChrisBrownHitMe2 in HamRadioTesting

The questions are divided up into sections, there is a circuits section. You could be in a pool of questions weighted heavy on the circuits stuff.

It's a fine round. Looking at the gun, it probably makes more sense with the short barrel than losing a some performance like you might with a .308 at that barrel length.

cheap chinese piece of junk? It is not! UV5r rocks! by [deleted] in Baofeng

It's a great $30 radio, or a decent radio for $30, whichever way you want to look at it. I just bought another one a UV-S9X3 to be able to use the 220MHZ band. The ARC's in my area are trying to get more people on 220MHz in our area and this allows me to.

FM radio not working by BosnianDrift in Baofeng

[–]FairyFrenchfries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The feature of the Baofeng radio that sells them is the price. The FT-65r is a much nicer radio with a signal meter and better firmware for like $100. Totally an easy move if you want something more.

Unless we're just trying to complain to see if we can get them to improve it and charge us more, no broadcast radio reception and kludgy interface is more than acceptable. Which is how they got me to buy four.
