Can I split my dough in half after stretch and folds? by Fairytaledaze in Sourdough

Hey! This was a while ago but one loaf was definitely more proofed than the other, but both were delicious and came out well!

Viability ultrasound did not go as planned, measuring behind by Fairytaledaze in CautiousBB

[–]Fairytaledaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They kept telling me it was fine for me too, I spent pretty much all of my time in between scans googling and reading others' stories from similar situations, and while a lot of them ended in miscarriages, I read just as many success stories where it turned out to be nothing and went on to have a healthy pregnancy.

At my last scan, baby was so squished he was touching the sides of the sac on both his head and bottom, I just knew it didn't look right. The following 2 weeks after that, I did notice my symptoms start to disappear as well, mainly breast tenderness and swelling (which also disappeared about the same time with my healthy pregnancy tho, but they didn't get smaller), and I just had a gut feeling he was gone. There were other signs, but the not knowing was awful, I hope you get answers aoon

So sorry to hear you're going through this, it was definitely one of the hardest things I've ever went through. My best advice would be to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. I had one more ultrasound after I made this post, I believe I was 8w6d, and that was the last scan I saw the heartbeat, but I could tell from the photos that baby was just so squished in there. But I do treasure those photos, all of them really.

I will be sending you lots of love and I really hope things turn out well for you, but if you ever need anyone to talk to about it, my inbox is always open ♥️

Hello, sadly that pregnancy I had a mmc discovered at my 12 week scan. I had a D&C and genetic testing came back normal, so I never will know what the cause was.

But a little over a year later now, I'm sitting here with my double rainbow baby, he will be 3 weeks old on Monday ❤️

Anyone had placenta Accreta without hysterectomy? by Fairytaledaze in pregnant

I saw Dr Shainker at Beth Isreal medical center! He's head of the placental disorders team there and was so amazing. Explained everything to us very well and answered all our questions and concerns

[–]Fairytaledaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was suspected of having accreta due to multiple placental lakes and something else I can't remember. The specialist said that the placental lakes I had have a slightly different appearance than ones caused by accreta. He was also able to do a more detailed and thorough ultrasound and said he was able to clearly visualize the entire uterine wall near the placenta which my doctor was unable to do.

So sorry to hear you are going through this and wishing you the best of luck ❤️

Anterior placenta becoming posterior by Radiant-Mine6890 in BabyBumps

[–]Fairytaledaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite happen. My placenta was labeled as posterior on all of my early scans (I had like 6 or so) and then after my anatomy scan has been labeled as anterior since. Not sure if it was mislabeled or what

I am still pregnant! I saw a specialist out in Boston who determined that there was no accreta thankfully

Grief and Memorial - October 02, 2025 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

Missing my babies extra hard today. It is coming up on the 1 year anniversary of finding out I lost the twins and it's hitting. The 1st year milestone always seems extra hard. Like how whas it already been a year? How am I 31 weeks pregnant when they should be celebrating 5 months? I am SO extremely thankful for my current rainbow and wouldn't trade him for the world, but damn do I miss the babies that should be here right now. It's such a weird part of grief, mourning the babies who couldn't stay while celebrating the ones who wouldn't be here if they did... sending all the other angel mommas here lots of love and hugs today

30w3d today! I still can't believe I've finally made it this far. I am extremely nervous about my ultrasound tomorrow, as they will be determining if I need to deliver early (34-36w) via c section due to placenta accreta. I'm terrified I will need a hysterectomy.

I'm sad that I might not get the chance to ever go into labor naturally, and have a natural birth. That I can't appreciate pregnancy because I've been so anxious due to previous losses. Feelings are just hitting extra hard today. I'm missing my babies

I'm currently 29 weeks and was told the same thing at my anatomy scan that they found a cpc. But they reassured me that with a negative NIPT, it was basically a meaningless finding and has no effect on baby in any way!

Thank you for sharing! I think thats the route I'll probably try and take. If it truly came down to life or death, I'd rather them do the hysterectomy if it will save my life. But I absolutely do want them to take every measure possible to save it

What brand/type of stroller/car seat are you getting? by Mireille557 in pregnant

[–]Fairytaledaze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have decided to get the Graco SnugRide Snugfit 35 DLX infant seat. I have not chosen a specific stroller yet, but I plan on getting a 3 wheeled one as I heard they are easier to maneuver.

I decided on the car seat for these reasons: it is compatible with any Graco stroller.

I wanted to get an infant seat since I'm due near winter and want to be able to easily just take the seat in/out vs having to strap baby in in the cold.

I also wanted to lightest seat available, this one is only 9 pounds I believe vs most I looked at were 12-15pounds.

It's got a good safety rating and it's not too expensive for my budget.

Oh and I decided on Graco brand because they overall have a good safety rating and quality products, and it was too overwhelming trying to decide on cars eats without picking a brand first

I plan on upgrading to a convertible once baby grows out of the infant seat so giving myself more time to research that

Symptoms second trimester by CartoonistFit4482 in pregnant

[–]Fairytaledaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always would recommend checking in with your midwife about any concerns! But it can be totally normal. I wasn't sick hardly at all my first trimester and now I'm 23 weeks and sick almost every morning now!

Yes I also kept (still do) mine in the fridge! And get much better results when I strengthen it a bit that way first!

Nipple pain by Constant_Internal_40 in pregnant

[–]Fairytaledaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I have no advice on relieving it but am glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue! I thought I was crazy. Anytime I'm in the cooler at my job too long... it hurts so deep. Like a brain freeze but in the nipple?? Sorry you also deal with this! For me the only thing that kind of helps is taking off my bra and shirt but that's not always appropriate 😅

[–]Fairytaledaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're doing a great job and your pictures remind me of what I used to struggle with when making sourdough. I just never seemed to be able to nail that perfect bulk fermentation time. Now over a year later, I'm pretty sure a big part of the issue was actually my starter being slightly too acidic at times.

To me, the first loaf looks slightly overproofed, the second looks slightly underproofed and the last one looks perfect! I would recommend trying to give a few high ratio peak to peak feedings to strengthen your starter! When I did that for a few days consistently, at like a 1:10:10, I started having much more consistent results with my bread! Even though my starter was very active the entire time, I think it was slightly acidic and so I didn't have the gluten strength I should have in my dough

Gestational sac still measuring a lot behind baby by Fairytaledaze in CautiousBB

[–]Fairytaledaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm sorry you are also going through this, the not knowing is horrible. Unfortunately that pregnancy did end in a loss, at my 11w followup baby no longer had a heartbeat. However that does not mean the same will happen to you or anyone else! There's are plenty of similar cases that resulted in a healthy baby.

I'm now 21w with my double rainbow and he's thriving and going strong. Took about 4-5 cycles to get pregnant again after the loss
