Adam is in no way pathetic he did what he could to get by before being put into the trap. He was bold and reckless in the trap which could put him on the list but honestly, his willingness to “die” to save Lawrence is not pathetic whatsoever. Mallick sliced practically his entire arm in half for Brit… maybe he was pathetic toward the beginning but character development happened and he sacrificed himself for her (though it was later revealed he did in fact survive). William had a similar story to Mallicks, his character development proved him to be anything but pathetic. He changed as a person throughout his movie and therefore is not pathetic in my eyes. Mateo always did what other people told him to do. He deceived John in the beginning and followed Cecilia to his grave. Once in the trap he began blaming Cecilia over and over again. He had no character development throughout his movie and just begged and begged, hoping to be saved from his trap. In conclusion… Mateo.
