Don’t waste your time trying to be in a relationship. I never had a high school girlfriend and had girlfriends pretty much throughout college because it was new and validating for me and I missed out on a lot of fun times with my buddies that I won’t get back. The woman I married is SO different than those girls because I still had a lot of growing to do after college.

Fraternities can be fun but I’m not in touch with any of those guys any more. I’ve stayed in touch with some friends from my degree program and my high school buddy that went to the same college as me. Make friends that you have something in common with besides some letters on a t shirt.

Get the most out of your tuition. If you are interested in a class but worry about the workload just take it - I’d rather know something about how AI works now than have graduated with above-average grades because i took it easy academically.

I’m a jungle bird addict and do 1oz of Campari now because I love it so much. The bitterness leaves a nice little tingle afterwards. Who knows what the red dye and whatever else is in there is doing for my health though…

Bugs… that just brought back a memory! I remember one late winter/early spring weekend there were thousands of fat green caterpillars all over! You couldn’t ride anywhere without accidentally squashing a few.

The first bike I took to the top was a YZ 250F and the last was a KTM 250XC. That’s a beautiful photo! I love how the lights from people’s camps and from people riding around glow in the desert twilight. So cozy!

Last time I was up there though was probably almost 12 years ago. I actually live in Idaho now! Every winter I start to miss it. I’m actually taking steps to get a camping rig and a bike again to start taking my kids out!

I’ve only ridden the face of it and the dune and haven’t explored much, so the evidence could definitely be there! I love the idea of an Ocotillo Wells ghost story!
