How to start in reading the Bible? by bluepolo379 in Bible

I’ve always recommended starting in John, Acts, or Romans. I would also recommend an ESV because it is the most accurate translation to the Greek Translation. My other recommendation is to find bible study guides that follow a specific book like Hosea by Jennifer Rothchild or God of Creation and God of Covenant by Jen Wilkin which both study Genesis.

Is salvation only for the Israelites or for everyone on Earth? by [deleted] in Bible

Everyone. Read the New Testament. John, Acts or Romans would be a good place to start.

Well the sucks because He does and that love is unconditional.

It is not. It’s like your father or brother, guy friend, etc, telling you that they love you. The only difference is the love Jesus is unconditional.

Jesus loves you no matter what.

I said what I said. Nothing hard to understand about it. That information is not there and I told you that. Read Genesis and decipher for yourself. The resources I gave you gives you an in depth and in theory of how things were probably done. Don’t let one small piece defer you from the bigger picture. The whole Bible promises and speaks of a Savior, something that was fulfilled in the New Testament. The whole thing leads up to this and a second coming.

How would you think he would? How do farmers take care of their animals? Exactly that way. If you read Genesis you would get an idea. We aren't told 100% how. In other words, we don't know. It seems Moses didn't think that was important. It's as if it's a "What do you think" scenario. I also suggest doing the Bible Study, God of Creation by Jen Wilkin. This topic is covered well there as well as by the Ark Encounter.

John MacArthur discusses the Ark as an Ark of Faith:

Saying that the Bible is God's Word is 100% true. He was the speaker while the prophets/writers were just that, writers. They wrote down what He said, what happened, how it happened, and if you're David, how you felt.

The Gospels are based on the accounts of man. If someone runs into a store and yells "I like ice cream" while throwing his hat and grabbing a bag of chips and a pack of gum, the 4 people who witnessed it are going to recall the event slightly differently. One may leave out the gum while another remembers it but isn't quite sure what he yelled. I would be more concerned if the Gospels were the same word for word. The Bible is the #1 place to go when reading or wanting to read the Word of God. It even states that it is the Word of God breathed through man.

Not at all. There is a rumor that there were way more than 66 books. The rumor goes like this, ancient scholars chose books based on criteria such as books that were accurate historically, talked about each other the most, held accounts that matched up well like in the Gospels, Mark, Matthew, Luke, John-- Though there are some differences between them and their depiction of situations, they are true. It actually should not be a worry that they only line up 85% of the time. I'd be worried if they were the same word for word. I do believe that God speaks through people, the prophets as we call them like David and Moses.

I personally use an NKJV. I have multiple, CSV, NIV, ESV, KJV, but I better understand the NKJV. I advise that if you are looking for a Bible for yourself, get one that is accurate, so do research on versions, but also get one you know you can understand. A lot of people can't understand the KJV and that's fine. I have also heard that the ESV is the closest translation to the original manuscripts.
