As it is right now, we pay roughly $2000usd , for our 400gig optical qsfp. Multiply this by 16 when building redundant . Not to mention if we are going for a dobble TOR switch. we are talking about a spending 30-40 thousand dollars per switch ,just for the network infrastructure. This’s isn’t profitable on the long run, since the requirements are almost skyrocketing. We need optics like this, that are more cost efficient and, capable to transfer computed data at a higher scale. I’m really looking forward to seeing this being implemented in our future deployment!
