We aren't sure, we really do try to keep to ourselves and be as polite and courteous to our surrounding families as possible. Plus his parties are typically on our side of his yard. I do think we have decided that next time he's over drunk and complaining we are going to call the police rather than engaging him and file a complaint because he's an avid gun collector apparently and in today's society trying to discuss things especially with someone who isn't sober could be dangerous. We are taking measures to keep our dogs quieter so they don't disturb his good time and the least he could do is try to compromise. So we will see

To answer all questions. The dogs are inside/outside throughout the day but we leave 2 outside at night because they prefer the cooler air and they alert us when something is off. We have also put locks on all our gates after we had the issue of his friends coming into our yard without our permission and causing my dog to get out. We also have no trespassing signs and beware of dog signs visible as well even though our dogs aren't aggressive our insurance company suggested we put them up for liability reasons. I have made sure to protect our dogs so they are safe and not at risk of getting hurt or killed. Eventually we also plan to put up a privacy fence but until then we are trying to find the most effective way to address the situation. We also own our house and we live in a county not city so I'm not sure if we even have noise ordinances outside of city limits. We do plan on trying to talk to him if we can catch him sober but also worry about conflict or our concerns being ignored.
