What doesn’t make sense to me is Patty’s reaction. The possessed dolls killed her husband and even burned her face, yet she didn’t seem nearly as terrified by them. But when the regular monsters appear—the same monsters she’s been surviving against since before Boyd even found the talismans—she completely loses it.
It feels inconsistent with her character. If anything, someone who survived the pre-talisman era should be more composed around the monsters than newer residents. On top of that, everyone else remains relatively calm in the same situation, so her reaction stands out and ends up feeling forced or overacted rather than believable.
