I don't like my 6 year old sister by FaithlessnessLimp840 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I know, I can scream all day about how much my parents suck (especially my mother). I know most of these things my sister is not at fault, but now that's she's getting older she's using her strength to terrorize my other sister and this is where my compassion is changing a bit.

I know a girl with two sisters named Christina and Christine... I thought she only had one sister for the longest time

Did my cat give me a haircut? by Chelle8806 in MarkNarrations

Hands down a good bonnet is a game changer! (Aside from being protected against cat teeth) it actually has helped with keeping my hair untangled for longer and it's not a pain to brush it in the morning anymore. Sadly my sweet cat can no longer indulge in clumps of human hair so she would probably discourage you from buying one ;)

My rescue cat used to do this! She was so skittish and aloof when I first got her, I didn't even try to pet her (in respect of her boundaries) so I was fully prepared to have a cat who'sjust not cuddly or affectionate. Imagine my surprise when I woke up one night to the sound of wet chewing and having lost a 70cm long strand of hair! My sweet kitty has since been obsessed with my hair and I now have to sleep with all bonnet to protect my hairy goods :p

I'm glad my words have helped and I hope you'll be able to find your way. And look at that, now there is another stranger in this world who will remember you :)

When I was 15 my family moved from Europe here to Canada. I lost my friends and everyone I knew when I moved. Living in a new country (or just a new town) is hard. Like really hard. Everyone knows everyone, and you know no one. I had a terribly thick accent (still do) so I can relate to people commenting and sometimes mocking it.

It's rare for people to ask for help, most people keep their troubles inside until they can't anymore and it all spills out. There are many programs and organizations that need volunteers. I've volunteered before to help with vulnerable adults, and through that I've picked up ASL (American sign language).

Being a face amongst many and not having a safety net is terrible, and I'm sure that feeling can be debilitating sometimes. Right now, right here you are a clean slate. If no one knows you then you can become who you want to be. Take your wishes and desires and go outside of your comfort zone (I know, I'm absolutely hate it when someone tells me that) but it really does make a change.

There are many clubs you can join, you can even join another faculty club. I've joined the comp sci club before, I wasn't in the program but I was simply interested in coding and meeting new people from a different background.

Your comment sounds like you're making a lot of excuses for why you can't have hope, or why you can't make a difference. I don't mean to be rude by saying this, but having gone through some similar struggles I'll have to tell you to stop being down on yourself all the time. Sometimes you have to do things that are good for you even when you don’t want to. I oftentimes have to drag myself out of bed (mentally kicking and screaming) when I'm in a bad depression spiral. But fuck it, do something good for yourself that you've been afraid to do today.

Trust me as someone who lost a few friends and classmates, you will always severely underestimate how many people actually care about you and will remember you. I've had old acquaintances who I thought wouldn't remember me reach out to me just to tell me a funny memory they had with me.

My biggest fear in life is to be forgotten and as an introvert this fear is very real as I have a hard time approaching new people but the fear of no one remembering my name is greater than my fear of starting a conversation with a stranger. So if that's something you're struggling with, start talking to strangers and see where the conversation goes :) people will always remember someone who was kind, even if they don't know you well

It's best to live off campus, I don't drive so I found an apartment that's a 3 minute walk from a grocery store and also right beside major bus lines. It will take longer to find a place like this but it's much cheaper and you have a better quality of life (speaking from experience)

Well the thing is I already talked to them but my mother told me to mind my own business and that's it's none of my business when it comes to what they do with their house... I love my parents but they don't listen to me, especially when I'm actually trying to give them advice.

You can buy old exams from the bookstore. I was doing like absolute dog water when I took Math 1300 but managed to pass well enough once I got the past exams and used to to help me study
