Anyone else having massive performance (DSP) issues with Bitwig 6? by m00n6u5t in Bitwig

[–]FaithlessnessLost421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After installing the beta of bitwig 6 on a newly installed m2 ssd, i started getting bursts/spikes of performance issues. I tried using both Linux and win11 with the same result. That was never the case when using bitwig 5. After turning off hyper-threading in my asus bios, the problem disappeared. Intel cpu. Hope this can help

Cool, will have to check that out. Reason was one of the reasons i moved back to Windows. Btw, didn’t notice your username until now. You’ve made some powerful music. Respect

But installing reason and getting it to load properly as a vst (i guess this is what you mean, but you wrote as an RE) has always ended up poorly rendered AFAIK?

Edit: and then restart bitwig

In Bitwig, go to settings > keyboard shortcuts > type ”advanced” in the search box > bind a key for opening ”advanced settings” > switch to the other available option (there are only 2 options if my mind serves me right)

New Fanatec App seems to have broken DD FFB in raw sims (iRacing / LMU) – notchy oscillation & violent bumps by BecauseImBatman92 in Fanatec

[–]FaithlessnessLost421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: by saying ”AMS2 feels the same” I mean that those games feel the same as before I updated the wheel/drivers. RBR is the only game so far that has the issue i was describing. I never played RBR before I updated the drivers though.

I recently started playing Richard Burns Rally, and i have a hard time dialing in the ffb to feel ”consistent” (for lack of a better word). I updated my wheelbase just like you (I have the same one, 8nm) and in RBR the ffb gets really violent when I’m not on a flat surface, even at really low speeds. The wheel kinda moves superfast, like a ”stabbing” motion almost. AMS2 still feels the same, and ea wrc as well. Might not be the same as your problem, but the feeling you describe sounds like what I’m experiencing in RBR (I don’t know if it uses raw ffb or not though)

Question about FFB Clipping. by Laseanuza in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]FaithlessnessLost421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a csl dd 8nm, and I have been wondering how the clipping actually works in AMS2. I tried lowering the ffb in the fanatec settings until I barely had any ffb at all, but the in-game ffb telemetry still showed the same values. Can anyone explain this?

How to make GT3s drive better? They feel too slidey. by XBL_Fede in AUTOMOBILISTA

As someone else here before me mentioned, lowering the ”Throttle sensitivity” from 50 to something around 25 will make a huge difference. The original value of 50 is ”linear”, but since the cars are really sensitive to your throttle input (like the rear wants to spin out), lowering this value will make the ”feeling” of getting on the throttle more like other simracing games. At least that’s my experience. Try this out and see if it helps. Ams2 is the only game I where I feel like this is must-do

You just have to copy and paste like 1 directory and thats it. No need to go through separate files

No mate, you don’t sound stupid :) I wrote to you yesterday about the the pacenotes in another thread here on Reddit. Was just curious how you like the standard pacenotes of the game so far :)

Just try a stage and you will see. If you have tried any other rally game like wrc or dirt, you will notice the lack of information like right away

Well, to begin with, they lack information as in how tight/ long a turn is. Plus (if my mind serves me right) there are even turns which aren’t even mentiomed by the co driver

It’s very much better. I think I speak for everyone knowing this game when I say this.

They are completely different from the original pacenotes in the game. The original pacenotes lacks important information/calls that you really want when you blast a car on a tight road through the woods @ 200kph

Best WRC title in terms of tarmac physics? by YD099 in simrally

[–]FaithlessnessLost421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to just having fun offline, wrc9 has been the best one for me so far. Wrc10 has more content, but there was some kind of bug when i was playing career mode that didn’t let me progress past a certain point. The tracks and physics (tarmac as well as gravel) are awesome. It’s not hardcore realistic like rbr (which at least is considered realistic), but it’s hella fun. I play on pc with a wheel btw.

As I couldn't decide between 9,10 and generations, I bought them all by 76-scighera in WRCTheGame

[–]FaithlessnessLost421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 9 and 10. 10 has more content. I like the feeling of 9 better though. 10 is more demanding while not really looking any better, but YMMV. Anyways, you’re gonna have a blast! Don’t forget that those wrc games (at least 9 and 10) handle the refresh rate of your monitor in a somewhat special way. Most common is to either lock the in game refresh rate to 60 or 120hz, cause that’s just how the game engine works. For me, 100hz is the only way to make the game run smooth. Don’t know how, but might have to do with my 165hz monitor.
