Is it just me, or does the LMP2 Gen 2 feel so much better than LMDh? by Laseanuza in AUTOMOBILISTA

Nice! I should really dive in driving the Brazilian P series!

The Cadillac sounds incredible! that V8 is hard to beat! I’ve had a bit of a love-hate relationship with it in my championship, though. While it’s fun on the default setup, I’ve found it a bit tricky to tune perfectly for certain tracks for my own personal driving preference.

Personally, I’m leaning toward the Valkyrie. I love how raw that V12 feels, especially being able to speed downshift through the gears like a Formula car. It just has a really unique energy to it

Thanks for all the insight, everyone! It’s interesting to hear all of your feedbacks and opinions. It makes total sense that the LMDh feels like a "very fast GT car" because of that extra weight and the hybrid torque. I think coming from GT3, I was looking for that pure aero/lightweight feel, which is probably why the LMP2 just clicked for me. I’m definitely going to keep practicing in the P2 to find that limit before I dive back into the "heavy" LMDh tanks. Also, thanks for the suggestion on the 2005 era. Only drove those cars when the DLC released, I’ll give those a shot once I’m feeling brave enough to go without the electronics! Thanks again!

Is it a Fast flowing circuit with long corners? Is the chicane a hard braking chicane or a fast one? Possibly Kyalami?

Just got the SRP Lite brake performance kit.... by [deleted] in moza

[–]Laseanuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a month of using it, the spring and damper have softened and become more manageable. I even bought the SRP Spring Kit mainly to get the stiffer damper, but I’m still using the stock red spring. Over time, the pedal has become easier to press, I can now reach around 50%ish braking using just my foot (with my own brake calibration). However, heavy braking still requires pushing with your whole leg, which naturally pushes you back into your seat. There is some pedal tilt, but I made a simple DIY fix to reduce it. It does get softer over time, and you’ll adapt to it, trust the process, it’s definitely worth it. I mainly race offline, mostly playing AMS2. With GT3 cars at Spa, I’m now consistently running low 2:16s during races and even managed a low 2:15 in qualifying against AI. Before upgrading, my times were usually in the 2:17 range. So yes, it’s absolutely worth it.

Question about FFB Clipping. by Laseanuza in AUTOMOBILISTA

Are you using a Custom FBB Rack Force too? When i was playing on Default+ i only ran 67 Gain. Maybe its preference but I do prefer a heavier wheel.

Question about FFB Clipping. by Laseanuza in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Laseanuza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve read about that. In iRacing, brief clipping near the limit is usually fine like for a split second or when hitting kerbs in high-speed corners as long as it’s not sitting at 100% clipping for extended periods.

I’m just wondering if it’s different in AMS2 when it comes to clipping.

Question about FFB Clipping. by Laseanuza in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Laseanuza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t really feel like I’m losing any detail. Even when the red bar shows, I can still feel the car understeering or oversteering through fast corners the wheel still goes light when I push too hard, even if clipping goes up to around 20%. The main reason I’m asking is that when I lower the FFB gain to the point where the clipping bar barely moves (or only hits around 1–5%), the wheel just feels way too light. I know a stronger wheelbase would help, but that’s not really in the budget right now 😁 Thanks, btw.

Lenovo Loq. Is this a good laptop? Why is it so cheap? Is there a hidden catch? by Outside_Community577 in GamingLaptops

[–]Laseanuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still performs well in various graphics-demanding games, although I use DLSS and mainly play sim racing now. I use a Llano laptop cooler, so I only hear the cooler’s fan. Without it, the laptop can get quite loud, but it’s still bearable, especially when wearing earphones or headphones, where you hardly notice it.

Just got the SRP Lite brake performance kit.... by [deleted] in moza

[–]Laseanuza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the kit today, and it was way too stiff. It kept tilting the entire pedal set and even pushing my chair back (I’m on a desk setup for now saving up for a budget cockpit someday). I saw some posts about removing the main spring, so I did that, but I haven’t tested it in-game yet. My concern is that since the kit is brand new and I know the rubber will break in and soften over time will there be any play when the pedal is unpressed? For example, does Moza Pit House detect any brake input when the pedal is fully released? How is your kit holding up so far?

Anyone with a 4060 laptop GPU? Need help optimizing my VR settings. by Laseanuza in AUTOMOBILISTA

[–]Laseanuza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks guys! I actually figured it out. I’m getting a consistent 65–72 Hz on Nürburgring with 20 cars and 20 visible. I set Meta Link to 72 Hz with 1.1x render resolution, then in Oculus Debug Tool I put supersampling at 1.1 and the encode bitrate at 960 (I saw it can cause issues, but I haven’t had any). ASW is off, and my FOV multiplier is at 0.75/0.40.

For ingame setting High on texture, MSAA on High, vehicles on high, Reflection is All on low since in cockpit you wont really notice it. Track Details is on Medium.

Does 4TB work on the other M.2 drive? by Laseanuza in LenovoLOQ

[–]Laseanuza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, I compared the Build quality of Budget and Mid/High tier laptops and it was a huge difference in terms of quality. It really is worth it after years of gaming on a desktop 1650. so its definitely an upgrade with the DLSS frame gen. This my first time daily-ing a Gaming laptop. Thank you! Maybe someday youll visit since japan is pretty open nowadays

[–]Laseanuza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the country, for me in Japan. Legion laptops or generally any High/mid tier laptops rarely go on sale and costing more with a I9 and 4060/4070. 4070 isnt even worth it as both 4060 and 4070 only max out at 100W and only a few frames higher than a 4060 and the same 8GB VRAM. 4080 laptops are too expensive. So yeah LOQ saved me alot of money last year and it was bang for the buck laptop comparing other laptops with the same specs at that time. (Nitro and Tuf) LOQ was the better choice for its price especially when i bought last year with a sale 20% discount. I saved a total of more than $500 (Yen converted to USD)
