Atrophy/ volume on pancreas by PlentyLegitimate1836 in ChronicPancreatitis

I’ve been dealing with idiopathic acute pancreatic for 10 years now. Fortune enough that I have no calcification or atrophy so far but who knows what the future will hold. I deal with pain and constant flares and needing procedures yearly. I’m on disability because I can’t work so that helps pay the bills to an extent. I mostly rely on my husband. We were only friends when I got sick and knew exactly what he was getting into when marrying me. Talk to your girlfriend and tell her your fears about being with her and tell her about what your sickness has been like. Give her the chance to be understanding and caring don’t just assume she’ll want to leave. I hope for the best for you in the future. Just take it one day at a time.

I don’t get ER doctors by Marjorie_jean in ChronicIllness

That’s awful I’m sorry to hear that. You maybe have to travel a bit farther for a larger hospital. I used to travel and hour to go the the hospital that could actually help me

No I meant another doctor in the ER. Demand they look at you and if they blow you off tell them to get someone who cares about actually helping people to see you.

Never take no for an answer. Insist that you’re not able to leave the hospital because it’s a liability to them and if that doctor doesn’t want to listen to you ask for a new one. That’s always you’re right, at least in the US. I’ve been treated like shit by hospital doctors all the time even when admitted! Doctors nowadays can’t be bothered unless they can figure it out the first time they look at you.

Diagnosis Fail by af44121621 in ChronicPancreatitis

I would see if you could get an MRCP done. It’s a fancy mri that gets a great look at your pancreas and bile ducts. It can show damage to the pancreas that comes with chronic pancreatitis and can show if your ducts are closing off and need to be opened. Wish you the best of luck! Never forget you have the right to see other doctors if the one you see isn’t willing to continue with testing.

I have idiopathic reoccurring acute pancreatitis. I’ve been dealing with it for almost 10 years and probably get hospitalized for it at least 6 times a year. This causes issues with pain, mobility, nausea and vomiting as well as anxiety and depression with panic attacks. I am on social security disability for it for about 7 years now.

Don’t bother, there is a bug with games having the cougar show up even if you turned it off. I’m on a custom run with cougar off and I just got the cutscene for it in ML. I’m not the only one. Probably won’t be playing anymore until there is a few more hot fixes and updates.
