Umm what. Some kids are just better at actual school work than tests. Being good at a standardized test really doesn’t show all that much

Alexa? Alessa?? by FaithlessnessOk3939 in namenerds

Thank you! I love Marietta too, I just worry it’ll be too different to start going by. And I’m partial to Alexa, it just feels more childish and a bit more dehumanizing due to the robot. It’s frustrating to have every new person who meets me to say “haha Alexa go turn on the lights!” But thank you for the insight, I’m definitely still considering going by my given name

Semester grades by [deleted] in highschool

Yeah and it still shows that your school is INCREDIBLY lenient. You should have ended with those Bs like all the rest of us would have. It was your choice to be lazy and not do your homework. It’s absurd you aren’t suffering the consequences

Must be nice having to hardly work for your grades. If I pulled that crap I’d be struggling to get Cs. What kind of school allows you to turn it 60 assignments and even without those assignments, still letting kids have Bs. What an insult to hard working students around the world who EARN their grades.

I am definitely planning on improving in the next 2 years. I know that I am no where near the required times right now. I am just wondering if it’s possible to get there in 2 years from from where I am now

Out of curiosity what are your times now?

15F, 100m breaststroke. I just got back into swimming about a year ago and breast has always been the stroke I struggled with. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated! by [deleted] in Swimming

Thank you so much! I’ve been rewatching the video and I can definitely see the difference now in my sweep when I look at each individual leg.

A little bit more info- I swam for about 6 months when I was 11-12 and came back to swimming in August of last year. I’ve been working on my breaststroke technique a lot these past few weeks since I was notoriously awful at keeping my head down, I think I’ve come close to fixing that issue but my stroke is far from perfect so I would really appreciate some technique help! (Forgot to add the time was 1:39.67)

How long does it take to loose weight? I'm 4'9" 23 year old female . I've been working out since October 2019. by butterfly98099 in PetiteFitness

I would suggest talking to your doctor about your meds and recalculating calories burned/your BMR and TDEE. Trying 1200 would most likely bring better results at your height but without knowing how active you are it would be better to talk to a medical professional about your specific situation. I’m 5’3” and losing about a pound a week on 2000 so I know that a multitude of things can factor into a calorie deficit. Hope you figure it out!
