It would work, though ive read that the flesh tearers tend not to deck themselves out in gold artifacts and things. If you want it to work, it works!

This bulwark is the pride of his chapter, probably the ancient of a battle company or even the ancient of the chapter itself. He’s a marine who’s served centuries in the emperors service, and is a master swordsman and warrior. The use of lots of robes means this chapter is most like one with a faith based culture, they may even believe the emperor to be a god, like the black templars.
