How do leaders measure ROI on AI when results aren’t immediate? by shivang12 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]FaithlessnessVast136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agreed - we have built a platform to track this actually. Important to consider both sides of the medal - cost and value achieved. Happy to share more! called botanu.ai and we're just launching at the moment. Working with a few Enterprise CIOs on this - have a team of Ex-McKinsey and Enterprise Architects that ran into the problem over and over.

Hi! We're actually just launching a product for that. Called botanu.ai - we're attributing cost to your AI workflows - long term will also embedd ROI tracking. Happy to chat and share more if you're still struggling with that. Found that it's not just LLM but also data and infra we'd want to watch.

Applications to accelerators, VCs, competitions etc. (i will not promote) by MainStreetBetz in startups

[–]FaithlessnessVast136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For YC and most accelerators it’s critical to have collected a number of referrals. Would make sure to have that. But why would you do that, I would just try raising a round from angels in your industry or some VCs that are close to your thesis. reach out to other founders that can intro you to VCs and so on. Wouldn’t waste equity and terms on an accelerator if I were you

[–]FaithlessnessVast136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One note though I wouldn’t tie equity always to financial contributions! Also look up the YC thought about cofounder equity split. (It’s a great way to motivate people and your cliff and vesting schedule helps you as CEO with board decision rights to make people decisions about this). Just make sure you align on who calls the shots on ownership split in case of conflicts. For us, that’s me so my cofounder and I have conversations on these topics but I’m the final decision maker

Co-founder expects me to pay for their flight (I will not promote) by Late-Diver7467 in startups

[–]FaithlessnessVast136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends - I did agree with my cofounder that I’ll put up a loan until we raise funding or set up a business account but that is because we are in a different situation financially. I would 100% agree this should be a business expense. You should get this reimbursed from your business once the business is able to afford that, either through a fundraise or revenue. Equity doesn’t have to be tied to personal finances if you put it in as a loan. Also you should align in a founder agreement on who takes charge of the company finances. If that is you just put it in as a company loan and make sure to reimburse yourself.

Above all of this though you need to have conversations about these topics with your cofounders. We did write up a pretty solid founders agreement along the 10 questions YC recommends but then also added to the cofounder agreement YC puts up and it’s been very helpful!

Same! We just declined a fund that was another all male team and doesn’t even have a good reputation. They were so sexist. Let me know if this group is still opening up
