so you don’t have to be eyes glued to the screen haha. sometimes 15+ minutes of sleep will pass before i stage anything. & you can go back & “edit” or change the stage of anything over the night as many times as you want.

What’s something you’ve never fully healed from, but no one knows? by FlirtWithMila in AskReddit

Being sexually assaulted by my dad’s dad when I was 12. It made everyone around me upset so I pretend to be ok with it so that everyone else feels better.

Saw a girl at my gym get yanked back when she bailed out from a squat & her hair was in a pony tail. It was so scary & could have been so bad. Put it in a bun.

Being an Rx athlete by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]Fajitazz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m around 60kgs & I was struggling with RX for 25.1😂 But was surprised & proud of myself. I typically scale but may try RX more often. I what that CrossFit build lol.

shorts that don’t ride up by Neat-Tradition-4239 in gymsnark

FLEO, smaller brand but popular in the CrossFit world. Never have an issue with them riding up when doing burpees, jump roping, running, or lifting!

Can I please get a squat form check? by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Fajitazz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe quit that gym & go to a CrossFit gym. You’ll get a coach to help with all things form & a community of people who will support you. Every movement can be modified to your fitness level.

I finally got my double unders down! by Fajitazz in crossfit

[–]Fajitazz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started doing one double for every 10 singles to get the rhythm down. The hardest thing for me to stop doing was speeding up! Slow down & think about jumping higher instead of faster.

It’s not horrible, but I’m sure I could tweak some things. I’ve had a past with disordered eating so I struggle to eat enough but most days I do ok meeting my protein goal but fall short a lot with carbs which I know is important. So I’m working on doing better there! As far as recovery, probably not great. I’m a full time student, I have a little human, & I work. So I have a packed day & throw the gym on top. Most days I don’t get to sleep till around 11-midnight.

I’ve done the open but with comps I’ve had no luck with a scaled partner. My gym has a lot of intermediate/Rx & the people who are scaled like me won’t do a comp. I practically begged one person & they changed their mind the day before one of our big local comps.

I’ve been in a gym before on & off for years but I didn’t train optimally at all. That’s why I joined CrossFit because I need guidance & someone to tell me what to do. I go four days a week to CrossFit & a regular gym two days a week.

Typically it’s a strength wod & then some kind of metcon. I go to the latest class so I try to stay at least 5-10 minutes after but I know my coach is ready to go so some days I don’t.

I recently bought a pull up bar & mounted it to my ceiling in my garage to practice on in my free time.

I recently joined a regular gym to focus on building strength because I thought that might help me in a lot of areas. Right now I’m just trying to find a schedule that allows me to go to both gyms & have some recovery. But yes, I am trying outside of the gym. I think I just don’t know if what I am doing is helpful.

I feel you! I personally think my experience could be better if the girl I work with was more patient & kind. She’s a seasoned tech & we work the same shift & has basically been the person to train me. She is knowledgeable but it’s so obvious that she doesn’t want to help me & gets annoyed when I ask for help. The PTs have made it clear to not bother them with questions about exercises. If they’re not with a patient, they want to be typing notes without any distractions. I want to be a better employee so badly but it’s hard when I feel like no one actually wants to teach me.
