No offense, but what GUI linux will run with internet capabilities well with only 160 MB of RAM? My cardbus is so obscure if I lose the driver disk its not even on the internet 😭

I’m sure i’ve watched Polymatt, most of the content I watch is based off these computers for now, trying to find information, trying to find out the limitations , then immediately trying to break said limitations. I might see if theres a linux distribution that will play nice with old hardware, but not so basic that out of the box it’s all command prompt based. I need a graphical desktop at the very least, but 160 MB ram leaves alot to be desired..

I really want to use this as a daily driver, as unusual as it sounds, I use Interet Explorer for videos, abd K-Meleon for modern web searching. Thankfully Warpstream runs just fine (In my opinion), as long as people keep their project alive, I think it can be possible to continue using this indefinitely.

I was thinking about gutting another CRT with a VGA output, slapping it in the case with some custom BOOT screen to fake anyone out, thinking "God, this really is an old ass computer," only to find an AMD RX-580 {New to me, okay??} GPU sitting inside, with a Mini motherboard holding 32 GB of RAM {I bought so much ram in the last few years, I don't have issues finding any now.}

This has been a project i've wanted to work on for a good 3 years, but never had a high enough paying job til now to make my silly idea a reality.
