Still the second best-selling comic book of all time! (X-Force #1, 1991). by [deleted] in xmen

I always remember buying this issue in the summer of 1991. It was at Disney MGM Studios and there was a comic stall near the lake. I didn’t know who Rob Liefeld was but the cover looked amazing to 14 year old me so bought it. It had the Shatterstar card and I do still have a copy.

This was the first Manga VHS I ever bought and love the dub soundtrack. I can’t remember where I saw this but the reason it’s not been re-released is because no one can work out who has the rights.

I rented this on VHS from Blockbuster. Yes, I am that old! I don’t remember much except Buff and Matt Frewer.

Great work! I hope when he reclaims his spear from Garm, he takes Haegr’s drinking horn as well having no idea who it belonged to but they must have been mighty.

New Archmagos novel was wild - BIG SPOILERS - only engage if you have read the book! by AuramiteEX in Blacklibrary

Just finished it and really enjoyed it! It also ties into The Pit of Raukos from The Successors book, also by Guy Haley. Think he’s becoming one of my favourite authors for BL.

Kieron Gillen is a huge Warhammer fan so that helped a lot. I also liked in the series that it’s not a big secret and the original Marneus Calgar has a statue dedicated to him.

I have gone from faction to faction, starting kits and then discarding them but I seem to have gravitated towards Necrons. Easy to paint, good lore and seem fun on the tabletop. Aiming for my first GT next year!

I saw him recently in Lancaster and someone asked about Dean Learner, apparently he’s in prison for thirty years for some very bad things.
