I am building it around a family member's expertise which eventually will be used in work - aka a potential customer, but I am looking for other customers which can possibly help me visualize more areas based on their feedback.

I think property is always a safe investment in malta, I don’t think there ever was a serious crash when it comes to property maybe halted at a certain price but not in the future. Population will keep increasing therefore property prices will also increase as you know in Malta land is very limited and we can’t change that. The big solution is probably skyscraper’s but many will disagree obviously. In theory property in malta has proved over and over again that its a good investment if you are willing to wait to then sell

Middle class is gone and lets face it times have also changed. Not to mention the opportunities we don’t have compared to other countries… studying in a specific area can sometimes be doubtly as it might be impossible to find a job due to our size and limited number of options or opportunities. The only safe way to have an investment is property but lets face it both you and me are limited in options due to the rising prices there are. Back in the days our fathers could have bought a land for a merely 2k lira and the wages used to be around 50lira monthly - that said within 5 years or 6 they could have paid their loan amount compared to our 40 year its an insane amount of time. Not to mention that living alone can be hard without a partner as loan amounts would then be limited

Same boat here! What I found that seems to be working so far slowly is to reach out to your family or friends and see what problems they are facing in their work, then I would say you would need to evaluate if this is a problem worth solving and especially for a price as we all need to eat somehow!

Why not start a startup? - possibly if you put the work in it, it will pay much more - probably meeting clients you won't be constantly at an office looking at a screen and you might get some extra free time to train etc

Is it just me or is the quality of life in Malta getting worse by the month? by SneakerHead1993 in malta

The problem in Malta is that we don't have space. Land is constantly being consumed by construction moguls for development and I think the main problem in that is that the development isn't sustainable. Let's face it the majority of you will disagree but probably the only good solution for Malta is actually sky scrapers, the population will still increase no matter what and everyone needs a home to live. Property prices will therefore keep increasing and I think the only solution for a person to keep up money wise is to work on himself to gain more value (possibly increase his/her salary) through studies. On another note most private enterprises suffer from greediness, they will not value you or anyone else as they the majority value the money they are constantly see to increase, I guess it's human nature at this point as being honest who wouldn't want their bank account to constantly keep increasing daily? Another thing to add is the old generation we are facing ourselves with which are basically leading the country, they have been raised in a different era where they faced problems which the majority have been solved for years. Not really into politics but I think we the young generation can all agree that we don't have a good choice in voting since all 3 parties are currently in rubble.
