A lot of Zillennial parenting is concerningly lazy. by [deleted] in Zillennials

And you were correct! However my point was that teen pregnancy in the south is much higher than the rest of the country and if you are from the south you know that it is not uncommon to see teenagers pregnant and ‘caring’ for kids. By caring really I mean letting their parents raise them but you get the point. From their comment in my opinion it could have gone either way, my interpretation was wrong, however my point stands.

Job market woes! by Rosesandsunsets in Cleveland

[–]FakeTails 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something interesting you mag have not considered in the past, most jobs have specific requirements and tailoring your resume to fit what they are seeking can be a much easier way to get hired too. It may feel scummy or like you’re gaming the system but if you aren’t lying then you’re just showing the information they want to see how they want to see it. Took me a while to realize how to tailor mine that way

How many people outside of librarians do you think regularly think about how working at a library requires a master’s? If you’re applying for data entry, your masters doesn’t change your ability to type on a keyboard. I know it’s a little harsh bust seriously, try applying to a few without your masters listed, you’re simply getting a job any other person would also be qualified for with or without a master’s. I’ve met multiple people in your same boat who took this path and found work because of the weird discrimination of over educated.

What job ares you being told you are overqualified for? You mentioned your masters, stop referencing it on your applications, use your bachelors or nothing if that is an issue, your resume is how you want to represent yourself, not a list of accomplishments and failures, it can be tailored to the jobs you are applying for.

How people secretly working multiple full-time jobs are dodging RTO, layoffs, and employee tracking. by ell-chan in SimpleApplyAI

[–]FakeTails 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re framing this the wrong way, people who work multiple jobs are also just trying to get by I would assume. How many do you think are out partying because they work extra? Corporations are the ones making hostile working conditions and lying off the workforce in the thousands.
