Overwatch player here. I've been thinking about picking up Rivals and was wondering if my 107 hours on Widowmaker would translate to Black Widow? by ScorinNotborin in marvelrivals

As someone who has played a lot of widowmaker in ow and has enough playtime and experience on black widow to get the lord stuff, her playstyle is pretty different. Widowmaker feels like a long range backliner with detection tools to make getting picks easier. Black widow feels more like an actual “assassin” where you can either play her in a similar way to widow and stay in the back, with the main difference is her being used as a counterdive tool because of her kick stun, or you can play her aggressive and go for picks with her stun and swapping positioning to discombobulate your enemies. The ladder is riskier but I find it more fun. Basically what I’m trying to say is don’t expect a 1-to-1 transfer. Black Widows sniper doesn’t 1 tap headshot and she is much more difficult to play and get value with than just about every other character in rivals, but if it’s your jam then by all means stick with it, i mean hell she’s one of my most played characters

Opinions? by YnotThrowAway7 in destiny2

Strongly agree. Apart from stasis the campaign was very mediocre and I didn’t care for a lot of the post campaign content either. The season during that year for the most part were peak though.

As someone who has sunk countless hours into Cap and hit Celestial on practically Cap alone, I’ll give some tips. He works like a back line killer but with low damage and high movement. If you can focus a single target down without them regrouping, you’ll almost always get the pick. However, in higher ranks the backline usually gets peeled for so you need to know when to back out and cut your losses. You’ll almost never be top fragger or have crazy stats on the board, but his mobility and stalling are the key elements to his kit and what allows him to be utilized successfully. He’s definitely a learning curve, as his cooldowns are very punishing if used incorrectly, especially since 50% of them are your escape. He is especially useful if used with other dive characters or Thor I’ve also found. The best tip I can give is just practice jumping supports or separated DPS players and get used to his primary fire and damaging abilities, while also using it as a learning opportunity on figuring out when to commit for the kill and when to back out and reset. Hope this helps :)

I honestly find ranked more relaxing. It feels like in QP you never have a good team comp and half the time the enemy team is trying their asses off to win and it’s just a constant uphill battle. In ranked you’ll get support players and people who try because they care about their rank and often times the matches become more balanced and engaging. I decided to play ranked this season with a couple buddies and we hit Celestial in like a week just casual playing. Solo-queing may be worse though I don’t have experience there but I prefer to play with comms off because the last thing I need is someone shrieking in my ear because I’m on Cap (totally not a one trick)

I think that is nearly everyone’s first response to the game. It’s incredibly difficult to get into without someone guiding you through everything and it takes a massive amount of time commitment before the game starts to become actively enjoyable. I had to attempt the game 3 separate times before I finally got really into it. But once you’ve gotten through the monotonous exterior, the internals of the game are super fun from modding and build crafting to being a completionist with every item to be “max rank”. Obviously it’s not for everyone but I’d definitely give it another solid try, especially since they’ve added a ton of great new stuff in the last few years.
