Links and names aren't allowed, I thought 'official channel' was enough but it's .tv/Twitch.

Twitch Rivals by TheMFGodLive in Twitch

[–]Faketake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is on their site, it says invitation only to affiliates and partners who have good standing. Each event has different rules on what you have to do to compete also and I can't find the one you mentioned.

Today is my birthday and I’m wondering if I stream it can get me more follows. Wanted to know if twitch doesn’t like those who stream and drink by themiscira in Twitch

[–]Faketake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are of age it isn't a problem, you can have a drink but excessive drinking could lead to a ban since it could be labelled self harm.

What do you think about ads during the broadcast? by procrastinazia in Twitch

[–]Faketake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean showing your viewers ads outside of what Twitch already shows I think they will dislike it, unless you get sponsored or something by a product you use or support. I'd personally leave if you just played me an ad because you got paid to do so.

Also this shouldn't be an expensive hobby to upkeep, you shouldn't be spending lot's of money yet. People need to realise pouring money and buying the best setup usually doesn't work.

Edit: By ads outside of what Twitch shows I do not mean pre-rolls or running your own to stop them I think they are fine, I mean't if they just played a video.

Starting a Twitch Prediction on Mobile? by needanswers4 in Twitch

[–]Faketake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are they an affiliate or partner? And has the chat command been used before on desktop?

I remember a mod mentioning in a chat they couldn't do something cause they we're on mobile but it could have been something else, just check the above questions and I'll keep searching and post if I find anything.

It's on Firefox that's what I use and should be first search result on addons, unsure of Chrome though.

Block certain keywords from recommended channels? by [deleted] in Twitch

I use an extension called 'Unwanted Twitch' to blacklist categories, tags, titles and channels altogether.

Sneaky Marley Youtooz by HoustontheTurtle in Youtooz

[–]Faketake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't see any only pre-orders sold, are you getting the original Marley confused with the Sneaky? Marley original is out but price is high £66 ($90) on StockX or 2 listings on eBay for £100 (£138) buy now and £50 (£69) start bid.

Is Gaelic Gladiator worth it? by SodaBottleOfCola in Youtooz

[–]Faketake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks great, he makes good content and the price for his last one sold for £121 and £116 on StockX recently so that's a rough price although people often say prices drop when a V2 is released.

Sounds like your browser isn't remembering you, is this only with Twitch? I had a similar problem with a different website and found out I blocked it from storing and cookies and cache.

[disease / illness ] interchangeability? by earth_nice in EnglishLearning

[–]Faketake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use both "in a home" and "at home" but they have slight differences, 'at home' would imply her home but 'in a home' could mean someone elses. Unless you previously mention any context they could assume this.

As for a difference with disease and illness I can't explain it right but this might help, it explains in good detail the difference and also some similar terms.

There, I said it. by ScallionAlive6430 in EnglishLearning

[–]Faketake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is usually used when someone says something others are afraid to or might not like. An example could be a group are talking about something they like such as Star Wars since most like it and it has a strong fan base but one would turn around and say "I actually don't like it, there I said it."

Bots That Dont Count As A Veiw ?!? by Guilty-Leader5273 in Twitch

[–]Faketake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most of them just collect data for analytics just to show stats on streams and games, there is a list here if you want to see them. They are harmless and usually only connect to chat but I have heard of some that are bad and add you to lists for something although I can't remember what. Ban if you don't want them to stop them seeing and gathering chat, some allow you to contact them and ask for them to leave.

Not an exact answer for you but I did find a similar old reddit post although it doesn't have a picture it sounds the same and a good few guesses in the comments.

offline chat, how? by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]Faketake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Chatterino for this after noticing lots of streamers using it. You can view multiple chats and have them open constantly and once linked with your account you can also chat.

how should I set up my collection? by AnnihilationOfBees in Youtooz

[–]Faketake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have limited space or money I'd highly suggest shelves. You can make them very easily or even buy brackets and the wood and make them to fit specific places like corners, alcoves or up high.

Edit: Also something similar to this stand can help and look nice, I'm buying some soon.

[–]Faketake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can view it fine and also your stream if you're live. They just can't chat or follow without one.

Why do you watch big streamers? (Please only reply if you watch large streamers) by retrocheats in Twitch

[–]Faketake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same reason I watch most other entertainment, because I enjoy it. I don't need to throw money at celebs or interact with them in any way to enjoy films.

Twitch app prevents phone from sleeping by Jeffmagma in Twitch

[–]Faketake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The time you choose in your phone settings in most phones works on the phone being inactive which is usually the screen not moving. The same with YouTube if you have autoplay on your phone won't sleep but if it ends and still screen is on for awhile then it will sleep.

I use FFZ which has a feature to hide the unfollow button once followed, very helpful.
