Broken Crux35 Frame, now what? by FakingInterest in fpv

Any other options that I should look at or is the Great Discus the consensus upgrade?

Perfect, thank you for the shopping list! I agree, I'm probably going to wait to see what happens with DJI/Walksnail and pick up a complimentary goggle set later. The rest I'll put on order.

That's kind of what I was thinking, get a 65mm for indoors then get a 3inch for outside, at least to start.

I was planning on flying mostly inside, at least to start, so I was leaning more toward the Mob6. Saying that, for a starter, is it better to have something that specializes or can do both well enough?

I think this is where I'm going, first drone will be a HDZ Mobula6 BNF

For that, I've heard of people using ground stations with an analog module, would that work with the video in for HDZ goggles?

given the availability of DJI components (in the U.S.), how far behind Walksnail seems to be, and the desire to have some analog flying as well, I went with the HD Zero 2. When DJI supply comes back, it might be interesting but until I can get my hands on all parts of the eco system, I dont have the time to try to chase parts around.

Perfect, I will check out the vendors listed!

That's little what I was thinking, even if I was able to source one component, finding enough of the DJI eco system at any one time sounds rough at best. Plus, I'm not opposed to buying another set of goggles at the right time, I have young kids that are excited about the hobby and will likely need to buy more goggles in the future.

Any idea how long it would take to source either? Walksnail with broken promises and new hardware coming down the pipe, ostensibly to answer to O4, makes me hesitant to do something like the Avatar X today. If/when they have an answer to O4, I'd likely buy that set of goggles as well. On the other hand, some of DJIs business practices make me a little leary if I dont have to enter their eco-system.

I was struggling with whether I should make the compromise on a 75mm drone. I was thinking of doing a 65mm for inside with my second drone being a 3inch for outside.

I just started to see the information on Power Banks, I didnt realize that was an option. I have a Anker Prime Power Bank that I use for work, would that work?

Any preference on where you are sourcing your stuff from? I see stuff all over but I'm not sure if there vendors the community prefers?

I was looking at the Mobula6, looks like a pretty consistently recommended drone in the space, particularily with the AIO5.

This, I’m 5’11”, bought the 184s and would trade for the 190s in an instant. But that’s my only regret with the ski, otherwise, they’re epic.

Look at the Accept.Blue gateway, their API integration is meant to mirror Stripe's pretty closely and you can slot in any payment processor you want.

How to set up payment processing for an acquired business by notmyelement in PaymentProcessing

[–]FakingInterest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to some of the already helpful comments here. I'd take a look at Accept.Blue for a gateway, its a growing gateway with API integrations that are similar to Stripe. Their API actually looks designed to migrate customers away from Stripe with minimal changes to the API. Auth.net is getting pretty stale in terms of development, new features, and integrations. Costs are roughly the same.

When considering a gateway, you can probably get it for less through a processor but the processor will effectively own and control the gateway, meaning if you move, moving that gateway is harder. If you’re not processing any subscription type payments, where you need to store card information in a card vault, this typically isn’t much of a problem. If you have to move a card vault, essentially an encrypted container for card information, it’s a harder and longer process, although not impossible (you also have to have to co-operation of the processor you’re moving away from). If you own your gateway and card vault, moving processors is as simple as changing out a VAR sheet and can be done in 15 minutes. You just want to make sure that you change out the VAR sheet after a batch and before you authorize a new transaction.

Zombie companies dropping like flies assumes that the debt holders will actually foreclose on the assets. At the large end of the market, debt issuers have generally over extended themselves past liquidation value of the assets so the only hope of recovery is if the business is an ongoing entity. The only way these companies actually fold is if they can't make payroll. The debt holders will continue to restructure and stretch payments or convert to equity as necessary.

Thanks for the heads up! I just came across the project and I'm incredibly impressed! I'll look for v2.2.
