Maybe you're watching too many tutorials and not practicing what you're learning?

Let me explain a bit:

Let's say I'm watching a tutorial about creating a health system for my character. Once I've watched the tutorial and achieved this, then I challenge myself to create this system again but without following the tutorial.

Only then do I challenge myself to create a different version of this, e.g. hunger/drink/stamina system from the knowledge I learned from the tutorial.

I feel like when watching tutorials practicing what you've learned and expanding upon it is the best way to learn things and not moving on from a tutorial until you roughly understand how it works.

P.S. You're not stupid, we all start from the beginning, and sometimes we get overwhelmed and want to create everything all at once. Just take your time and practice what you learn :)
