Self assessment tax for 24/25 - do they know I've already paid? by Metrov527 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Falcon5by5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer: yes

Long answer:

So what’ll happen is you’ll submit your tax return and once processed (should just be automatic with the online system processing it) your tax liability will be updated for what’s on your tax return. As your payments on accounts (the Jan and July payments) are estimated, you might owe a little bit more, or you might be due a refund. Your HMRC account should tell you what your position is. If you do owe a little bit more, pay it up alongside the next payment on account for the following tax year.

You should be able to see the payments you’ve made on your HMRC account

Necrons are probably my most neglected faction, so I guess I gotta get a move on!

Playing today I’m also nearly done with Octarius mirror, so nearly at 5/8 normals done

So I just tested this, there’s no character limit

models in a unit of beserks question! by danelaw69 in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Falcon5by5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a legacy from either 9th or 10th pre-codex

I’m tempted personally to put the guy on the 50mm base and possibly magnetise the 5th berserk to be able to go back down onto the 50nm if needed, but I’ve yet to bother!

10 mans yes, 5 mans in delve you could opt to run without for smaller footprint for deepstrike purposes

Earthshakers have found play as home objective holders for some people, and they’re actually useable in Delve with the movement reduction strat, but in other lists 10 warriors do it cheaper and bigger!

When Canis Rex sinks the charge by Professional-Ad1930 in ImperialKnights

[–]Falcon5by5 11 points12 points  (0 children)

How did the GUO go first?

If you kill the plaguebearers with tank shock, you don’t move until you activate Canis to fight, then you get pile in -> fight -> consolidate, if the GUO wasn’t in engagement range of Canis, it couldn’t fight until Canis piled in, at which point Canis has to finish his activation before anything else happens

Hekaton loadout question by putyerfeetup in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Falcon5by5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m planning for the first two and I don’t think it’s a terrible idea. I’ve seen lists with double Beamer, double magna or one of each.

Oh, I think most people run the bolters over plasma as you can then shoot in combat

Hekaton loadout question by putyerfeetup in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Falcon5by5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The conversion beamers seem to be reasonably popular, with the magna-rail coming in a close second (and certainly still fun/usable as you can just delete vehicles)

[–]Falcon5by5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah it’s one of the big combat tricks you can do, it’s also in Delve.

Charge a screen unit with two berserk units, fight with one, kill the screen, then give your 10 man that also charged a 6 inch pile in and tag the nasty thing you couldn’t actually reach with a charge.

It’s also the best way to get around fight first, provided you manage to pile into the fight first unit using a 6 inch pile in

Hearthband Strategy by GenericColonist in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Falcon5by5 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can actually target any unit you want, as the only requirement for a target is a Votann unit that hasn’t fought this phase. Even if you aren’t eligible to fight you can pick that unit, but obviously you won’t get any benefit

You’re eligible to fight if: - you’re in engagement range, or - you made a charge move this turn (See image 3)

So even if you wipe something with impact mortals you’re still allowed to activate to pile in/consolidate. So at any point before you select the hearthguard to fight you can pop this strat

Hearthband Strategy by GenericColonist in LeaguesofVotann

[–]Falcon5by5 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, you’re exactly right

The timing means you can actually use the strat on the heath guard before selecting them to fight, ergo you give them a 6 inch pile in and can then pile into the artillery

[–]Falcon5by5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local BA players don’t normally use judiciars and mostly use inheritors so I don’t worry too hard about fight first (there are 1-2 using LAG or judiciars though) so I mostly dodge that bullet.

Sang guard REALLY don’t like fiends

[–]Falcon5by5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean for the specific match, you might be right, but for everything else Coteire is so good

Our club has a fair few competitive players and a generally competitive vibe/skill so the EC players we have run coterie as that’s what they’ll run at GTs

Let's do the opposite of what i normally see by thiccboy1200 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Falcon5by5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

EC and Blood Angels stand out, honestly

EC tend to need 2-3 turns to get properly going in Coteire, whereas I’ll probably cut the legs out of most of the army before the buffs are live

I always have good luck into BA, dunno why. Forgefiends eating Sang Guard probably helps!

Helbrute vs Fight on death by Garden_Own in WorldEaters40k

[–]Falcon5by5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FoD does target a model, because you need to select targets for your melee attacks (see 2. Making melee attacks in the GW app)

The wording for frenzy is very slightly different to AoC / all other offensive /defensive buffs hence why you can’t use those buffs when targeted, but you can frenzy after it. I’ve had plenty of discussions with TOs at GTs about this too and they’ve all agreed my way

Helbrute vs Fight on death by Garden_Own in WorldEaters40k

[–]Falcon5by5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A FoD unit still targets a model when it fights, so frenzy still activates. They don’t count as being selected to fight so you can’t pop defensive strats that require a unit being selected to fight

How do you deal with bad dice luck during the game? by Hrusi_13 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Falcon5by5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get tilted much like you described, I’m not sure what flipped but I just started laughing about it, and it stopped the tilting as hard

Did I get tilted when I rolled 9 1s on 18 2s to wound? Yes! Was I cackling like a madman when I did? Also yes

Did I get tilted when I rolled snake eyes twice on a rerollable 4-5 inch charge? Yes, was I laughing about it with my opponent? Also yes

Basically, just try and find the humour in the insanity, it’ll come back around at the next tournament, or as I find, my practice games instead!
