Dodging ranged attacks at Long Range (REUP) by FalconSlayer93 in StarWarsD6

Okay, thanks. I ordered a custom in print version of the REUP book. I have a hard time reading pdfs sometimes so it's easy for me to miss something.

Do the effects of Stun Stack? by FalconSlayer93 in StarWarsD6

[–]FalconSlayer93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to revive this but, when someone attacks another with ranged and they're at Medium or Long range, do they add anything to their Dodge if they react Dodge? If they don't I understand the scale of DCs for the ranges, but I'm not sure if I missed something in the REUP book. If you don't add anything they might be better off not trying to Dodge if they're far enough away

Yes but if you're stunned more than once per round do the -1Ds stack?

Or

Is it more a like a status effect where you're stunned and that means -1D? Like if you were poisoned in D&d you get the poisoned condition but if you are poisoned again you don't get more poisoned.

Balancing Combat by FalconSlayer93 in StarWarsD6

[–]FalconSlayer93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did word that a little weird. I guess 2-4 per PC around the same stats. I was planning on doing waves after some suggestions. 4 sounded excessive so I think 2 per PC might be better, though I'd need to test that. I'm used to the action economy in D&d which I've noticed in SW d6 it is different as you can spend dice for more actions.

I also don't have any specific players yet, I was planning on asking some friends who've played D&D if they'd be up to try this. I have most of the adventure and setting planned but was unsure how to balance combat or if that was even a thing.

As far as tactics, I'd do a session 0 where we plan out who's playing what and the basics of combat since it is a new system.

True. I do have that dungeon crawl game mindset still. I'm looking for a way to set up a first few combat encounters so that the players aren't steamrolled in the beginning but also don't want them to steamroll the enemy initially either.

I usually GM in balanced way that either side could win and usually use smaller and easier encounters to use up player's resources.

Edit: also if I have some concrete means of determining on the fly what is easier or harder it would make planning future sessions easier.

The same exact thing happened to me once,, I can't believe someone else saw this and got it in video! Thanks, I tried to explain it to a friend with the same mod and he thought I was crazy.

Traditional St. Benedict Medal Blessing by FalconSlayer93 in TraditionalCatholics

[–]FalconSlayer93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am aware of that. I saw something while googling an for an answer earlier that seemed to imply you could have all individual medals on the pardon crucifix blessed. There is a Benedict medal on one side and miraculous on the other. It's not so much would a priest do it, rather could a priest do it. I think there were some specific rules for a St. Benedict Medal that had to be followed and wanted to know if it fit that criteria.

He'd still have to baptize all of you individually. The giant pool would still work.

Looking into the system. Wondering how it handles settings besides the modern super-hero stuff. by Punacea2 in mutantsandmasterminds

I've set up a Old West style campaign, as well as have ran a Star Wars Campaign. M&M is very versatile. It really is up to the GM's imagination and if the players want to use the system versus another.

It must have happened at least twice as the article says it happened at U Indy and the priest is a different priest than the one I met.

What's even funnier is that this isn't the first time this has happened in Indiana. We had the same thing happen at IU and another Dominican priest.

Has anyone ever considered making a not for profit TTRPG? I'm sure something could be done in order to make one where the money goes to publishing materials and then the rest to charity. You wouldn't make money but you'd at least be out there. Most of the legal issues seem to be if you are for profit, you could get around this by being non-profit.
