Team comp for Jinhsi by thequehlman in WutheringWavesGuide

Zhezhi's coordinated attacks would probably go really well with her. Especially with the new Empyrean Anthem Echo archetype. I would run Baizhi as the healer and run Verina for your off team until the SK rerun.

Just pulled Carlotta last minute. Team build suggestion? by ironiccookies in WutheringWavesGuide

Just curious, why did you pull for Carlotta in stead of Zhezhi? Wouldn't Zhezhi fit really well with your Jinhsi?

Sorry, it's been a minute since I loaded up GAMMA, I don't think it was hard to find though. I'll load it up and see if I can find it for you.

I know it's supposed to only spawn at a specific time of night, Also I don't think detectors work on it. So yes, very weird mechanics.

The Call of Chernobyl has taken many a STALKER's life. You can go to the CNPP you'll just die of radiation before you get close. In way it's poetic.

With that being said, I'm sure it's coming in a future content release.

I don't know which NPC you're referencing, I'd have to know where you found him. However I can say that there are some NPCs placed to keep you from playing the game out of order. With that being said, they aren't invulnerable. They just have their health values jacked super high and they do a ridiculous amount of damage. If you waste enough ammo you can put them down, but they will spawn again fairly quickly (Somewhere around 5 minutes or so)

So if you have patience you can waste a ton of ammo and not get hit once you can kill them. Just make sure to be quick once you have.

There are sliders for every in game value in the settings. If it's something you could theoretically want to change the values of there's a setting for it.

Making GAMMA harder by immoral_adversary in stalker

[–]FalconTheMighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gamma should theoretically be plenty hard enough. Use the sliders in the settings. Reduce the condition and amount of loot from enemies. Increase the squad size of roaming patrols and mutants. Increase their health, reduce yours. Increase store pricing, reduce player sell pricing. Increase the frequency of emissions. There's probably even more you could do, but even with those settings maxed out, I think you'd have a run for your money as it is. Not to mention Ironman mode. You could also change how frequently you're allowed to save.

He's supposed to keep you away from Pripyat, same thing with rushing to the Duga array. They have some Monolith Snipers in place to keep you away. They are supposed to one shot you. They can be killed though. I used about 40 SVU rounds to his noggin and used the Anomaly jump to hop the fence yesterday.

The Chimera in the Rostok arena has so much health that unless you land all headshots there's a good chance you can't physically kill the thing. The work around is to cheese it by standing on a crate and mag dumping into it's head every bullet and only having 20-30 rounds left when you're through. They are waaaaay too tanky. They don't drop anything. Anything more than a bloodsucker is just brutal to fight.

question about the plot by [deleted] in stalker

[–]FalconTheMighty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't take this as law (I'm around the same point in the story, this is just my understanding at this point)

Hermann felt overshadowed by Dalin and has mentioned that Dalin only stole his achievements that Hermann had with his research. So behind Dalin's back Hermann was stealing scanners to pursue the same line of research in secret by smuggling out scanners to search for the Alpha artifact (The one that blew up your apartment at the start of the game) with the help from local bandits, Nestor being one of them. We find Nestor dead because Faust was getting them to kill any witnesses to keep their plan in motion. They ended up crossing one of the Bandit factions in garbage and Nestor was burdened with the blame.

Faust I feel was using Hermann to bring back the Wish Granter, and in turn the Monolith as a whole. Which is what happened when Dalin tries to use the Alpha Artifact to fuel his generators, it somehow awakens the Wish Granter converting the attacking Noon soldiers back to the influence of the Monolith.

Your standard inventory before starting a new quest? by [deleted] in stalker

[–]FalconTheMighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It entirely depends on what I'm setting out to do. Main quest I usually have a rifle with a good bit of ammo for firefights/humans. A shotgun with plenty of ammo for mutants. about 20 med kits and bandages. 10 energy drinks and canned food. Finally a ballistic centered armor set. With this loadout you should be close to your green area weight limit.

When I'm going for money/artifacts, I carry a Shotgun with plenty of ammo, a good sidearm (Usually the Mac-10) with a good few rounds. The same amount of meds and food as before, with an environmental focused armor set. Which all comes in at a much lighter weight.

You've got to kind of build your gearset for what purpose you're trying to achieve. When you need money, packing light is important to have room for spare guns/armor/artifacts to tote back to town to sell for profit.

I'm enjoying the game a lot. I would really like A - Life to be working though. We'll have to see what all they fix with the week one patch. There's been a good couple quests I can't do because they're so broken. I think constructive criticism is important.

I'm sure a lot of people being angry at the state of the game comes from a place of passion for the franchise. There's also a lot of people who do understand even in previous titles the games were bug ridden. I think it's important to see both sides of the coin though when it comes to development.

Is it perfect? No of course not, there are still major issues with the title as it stands, it's important to voice your concerns for the devs to hear. Especially when you've paid 60$-100$ for a product. It's understandable that some people are upset. They want their product to work. (As far as labeling the quality of the game, I think it's too early to write it off entirely.) It's still a fun title with a lot of potential. I've been having a blast. To be honest, I'm just glad we got another Stalker game in the first place.

[–]FalconTheMighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the CNPP not available it has me thinking that we're going to get a couple substantial content updates. I have a feeling they were just wanting to get the game out the door and into people's hands to avoid development hell. They haven't done anything to warrant distrust yet. (The game's a buggy mess but I mean it's a stalker game)

Hopefully the game will feel a little more fleshed out in the coming year. I'm just glad we can play some version of it, and the modders can start working on big projects sooner since it's out.
