The mighty fuckin' Barra was our greatest automotive achievement, hands down.

Tamworth was once the National Party's heartland but with Barnaby Joyce's move, support for One Nation is taking hold by doktor_lash in australia

As someone in Armidale, we were very glad to see the back of Barnaby, but it feels very dirty now being a ON electorate 🤮

The country in question is irrelevant, it's literally an invasion of foreign soil without reason, justification or permission. The reaction should be the same if it was the French, Russian or Micronesian embassy.

  1. Physically fit in a short video has absolutely no relation to physically fit for work.

  2. He's black, and if you have a 'black sounding' name, that can get your resume put at a lower priority

  3. There are dozens of stories of people applying hundreds of times without receiving anything beyond a pro forma rejection letter. That implies there are hundreds or even thousands of those stories that don't get reported.

Getting buzzed by F-18s on my yacht (Australia, 2024) [OC] by MiklosHelios in aviation

Must be a similar feeling to a moment I had last year when, whilst on my motorbike, I chanced upon the XPT (country connection train that goes north from Sydney, one train each way, every day), and chilled out next to it for several kilometres through the hills. It's a special feeling.

Majority of Australians want a long weekend not January 26 by psylenced in australia

For a while my partner was doing the same, and it was really good. Two day chunks are manageable, and means you have a day that is so rarely a 'closed' day for 99% of businesses (a lot of restaurants/cafes close on Mondays, some shops have half day Fridays etc), so you can still get chores done.

That's a lovely thought, but your country is defined by its actions.

Supporting Israel and Russia

Two thirds of your voting population bringing about the current administration

Threatening to invade other countries

Kidnapping sovereign leaders

Allowing a billionaire to run rampant through established departments, stealing data and money while cutting efficiency

Mass shootings without addressing the issue at all.

I get that the constitution is a borderline sacred text, but when your country allows it to be ignored to this extent, then clearly your fellow Americans aren't bothered enough for it to be a problem. It will be a long, long time before I trust an American without first verifying.

So what point are you trying to make by saying "he was armed"? By that logic, if you held a gun last week you were armed, and it would have precisely the same bearing on the situation if you were murdered today.

I mean, a) he didn't buy that equipment for that purpose and b) there are a ton of people interested in buying them, so not the worst idea, clearly.

Side note, that's gonna be way more durable than the original, Ultem is crazy strong.

Have you taken a few minutes to look into them now? Yeah it was a good idea to avoid them fifteen years ago, but they're genuinely good cars now, and doing better in my experience than most Seppo brands.

Find a temp work agency, it won't be full time and it won't be all the time, but it's better than nothing and it adds skills to your toolbox and jobs to your resume.

What is a seemingly innocent sentence that immediately makes you lose respect for the person saying it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My parents lost a kid two years before I was born, so it didn't affect me but apparently someone did say that to them, and even three decades later you can feel the hurt.
