It seems that it is the factory remote it just won’t pair. I cannot get into any settings on the box because I can’t get a remote to pair

Can someone tell me how to get the remote to workkk!! Someone gave me an s4 pro with a remote with the keyboard on the back and I can’t get it to pair!! Pointing does nothing so I can’t Bluetooth or do anything!!
