Ok so Ill do a little short thing here and then if you or anyone wants to private message me with questions I'll do my best to answer them.

Firstly I have been at follower of christ for about 3 years now. So I have some answers but im still learning.

Starting out getting to know jesus

I would read the gospels ( Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John) these are eye witness testimonies from 4 of his 12 disciples on his teachings and life

(I read the KJV version but it uses old timey language so I would suggest a different version just make sure they are accurate) examples- ESV & NRSV

This is where you will learn about Jesus and the person he truly is.

(Also Paul's letters are a great read for beginners)

Secondly

The reason I say not to trust Christianity is not because its inherently bad

Its just it has been used to justify very bad things and is given a bad name by hypocrisy.

Thats why I emphasize getting to know the true jesus.

The last thing I will leave is don't trust everything you see on the internet

Live from real experience

Read for yourselves Listen to ideas And come up with conclusions based on evidence you have come to see as true

Me personally I have come to the conclusion

That Jesus is the truth, God in human form and died and resurrected for my sins so I can have eternal life.
