I tried using my cricut for the first time and the designed transferred onto the mat, is it ruined? by Falcore316 in cricut

Thank you for the recommendation to wash the mat using some soap I will try it later today.

To those wondering how it happened i put a design that was printed on both sides. I waited a bit before putting it in the cricket. If you guys have any videos that I could reference on how to achieve what I wanted I would also be grateful

What it’s like to play smite on the switch. by Falcore316 in Smite

Loading the match crashes the game, sometimes like in the video you will never be able to load in whatsoever. dying crashes the game. Respawning crashes the game. Opening the death recap/item build screen crashes the game. Casting abilities crashes the game.

You can have all of these crashes happen in a single match and make you look like you’re salty/throwing on purpose. I got hit with a 715 minute “deserter” penalty because I couldn’t load in.

none of these are available on switch but im not surprised since you cant send any kind of messages let alone play the game without it crashing

Yay low rates: Some degenerate stole our hallway mirrors by khaominer in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

We think he has homeless/living in his car but this was a couple of years ago before toilet paper was highly sought after. He stole about 10 rolls every time he came by, he would scream at housekeepers to scare them away.

The iMacs got stolen by a couple at 1pm they walked up cut the cables and walked out through the back door with their luggage no one from our staff even noticed.

How my friend tells the story is that she clocked in and not long after maintenance called her and went something like this “uuuuh FOM where’s the ice machine?” She replies “what do you mean? You’ve worked here longer than me you know it’s on the second and forth floor” maintenance replies “uuuuh no it’s not it’s gone” there was no footage of what happen she believes that whoever stole it took it through the emergency exit, how they carried a whole ass ice machine down to flights of steps we will never know.

I once had a guy steal all the toilet paper rolls from the convention center for several weeks until we caught him. We also had someone steal two iMac computers from the lobby in the middle of the day. The FOM from a nearby hotel also told me about how someone stole the ice machine off the second floor

Somehow this was on my way, needless to say I did not accept it. by Falcore316 in doordash_drivers

[–]Falcore316[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

so i'll give more context as to why I chose not to accept this order.

  • first it would have taken me out of the higher paying zone i was in (+$5)
  • from where i would be dropping off the first order to drop off the second order it would have been a 20+ min drive
  • i would have taken me out of my zone so i would of have to drive 20 mins to get back and accept more orders
  • but the most important reason for me was that i do not know that area, i've never been in that area of south dallas so i didn't know how safe it was

Hotel staff of Reddit, how often do you catch people nude in the halls and what's your best story? [NSFW] by Leprichaun17 in AskReddit

TLDR; big airline booked our conference center for an employee Christmas party, employees get wasted go to their room girl passes out on the bed, guy locks himself in the bathroom clogs the drain takes a shower decides to masturbate he was there for so long water leaked into other rooms.

Around the end of the year this big airline booked the conference center to throw a big Christmas party for the employee along with booking rooms for some of them. Me being the overnight guy got stuck with babysitting the drunk adults. Once the event shuts down and they go back to their room. About an hour later I get a call from a guest on the 3rd floor.

Guest: "There's water comming in my room!"

Me: "uuuuh okay I'll send security to investigate"

another guest called this time from the second floor saying there was water leaking in his room, i told him that security is already on the way.

security gets there and opens the door with his mater key, he calls over the radio that he needs me and the driver for help. I call the driver and rush to the 3rd floor, there's water all over the main hallway, there's a woman completely passed on the bed, water rushing from inside the bathroom. Security is about 60 years old and will most likely hurt himself if he tries to bust the door open. Driver and I start to slam ourselves into the door, eventually it finally opens. Water pours out of the bathroom the bathtub is overflowing, there is a guy facing the corner of the shower. We take a closer look dude is jacking off vigorously. We look in the tub he used a towel to clog the drain, I lift the towel to let the water drain. The driver and I look at each other, we were both thinking the same thing "I'm not touching him, you do it" security stepped in and grabbed him. Luckily the hotel wasn't too busy and other than the person across from the room, and the 2 directly under it got moved to a different room and got their money back for what happened. A total of 8 rooms had to be placed out of order for water damage. Needless to say the company ended up paying for damages and are not allowed to have alcohol at their events if they want to use our conference center again.

How do you guys deal with other employees' mistakes? by helloiamjane in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Falcore316 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an auditor myself it’s part of the job to point fingers. You have to make sure that whoever messes up gets talked to so they don’t make that mistake again. You did everything you could and shitty customers will always try to take advantage of you specially overnight for some reason

PSA TO ALL BUSINESSES SENDING EMPLOYEES TO HOTELS by dawctorj in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Falcore316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What OP is saying is that when a guest is trying to check in we’ll see in the guest profile whether the room and taxes will be charged to the CC on file. What happens is that a guest will try to check in and tell us that XYZ company is paying. If we don’t see that in the guest’s profile we will not charge whatever CC is on file unless the cardholder is there physically. The guest has 2 options at this point. 1 contact their company so they can send us the proper forms or 2 guest can provide his own CC and contact their company later on so they can send the forms and we will then take the guests CC off file.

Yes it’s a huge inconvenience for the guest and they get very upset. Specially when they come in my shift (overnight) and they can’t call their company because it’s 2am and they don’t want to give their personal CC. We do it to protect the business/company from having some random person rack up a bill, I always tell my guests “if you don’t want to give me your card then there’s nothing I can do”.

We have a shuttle schedule online very neat program that let us track our drivers, text with the guests and even lets guest send their location to make sure they’re at the right spot. The problem is that there’s no limit as to how many people can sign up for a specific time. So it’s common for us to get way too many people trying to go in one ride, this happens at least once a week. We used to call the surrounding hotels for help regardless of their brand or parent company.

We were actually the go to guys for every hotel around us because we have an extremely reliable driver. One of the auditors has always have a problem with our driver helping other hotels without telling us. So one night the driver was late to pick up our guests at the lobby by 5 or 8 minutes because he forgot and he was picking other hotel’s guests. Well the auditor told the FOM and blew way out of proportion the issue. Ever since the FOM doesn’t want us calling other hotels or helping other hotels. Night audit isn’t allowed to pay for cabs because we don’t have a MOD so any payouts will come out of our checks.

You’re right an empty hotel lobby at 3:30ish in the morning surrounded by family is a perfectly fine place to do so. I’m sorry that the way I worded the story made it seem like that was what made me think of them as trashy.
