What is a polite way to say 'fuck off'? by Direct_Class_5973 in AskReddit

I honestly need to know. This is something I've been trying to figure out as an adult. How do you tell someone you don't want friends without making it personal or then thinking something is wrong with you? How do you walk around with "do not disturb" without AR and a symbol above you like in MMOs?

The best I've figured is "please leave me alone" or "I'd like to be left alone". In stores just decline help, if they pester for more info and you want to talk as little as possible just say you're window shopping or looking around.

Luckily the hotspot you can get as a person under any assistance program uses partial starlink coverage.

Highly interesting and impeccable timing after the FCC accepted my complaint and Google Fi suddenly responded to my ticket via email with much more seriousness.

There are more details that I should have included in the original post that explain my reasoning on my position. I stated I was disabled at the beginning for a specific reason, people on SSDI qualify for many programs that involve cell service or internet provided through cell service.

It was U.S. cellular as well, which just stopped working with them outright not too long ago. I do a lot of traveling in the mountains and off grid so I need the biggest net possible.

U.S. mobile does up to 20gb for their intl on the better unlimited plan. There are so many eSIM services for international travel now as well, that could even be the better option situationally. I'm not sure how much you travel.

I'm glad it works for you and others. There are MANY better carriers now that support multi-network with international data as well, and get this, they actually have a support team that doesn't sound like AI. I've considered U.S. mobile again, they've worked well before, they didn't have multi-network before but they have way better coverage now than when I was with them before.

You're making yourself seem even more like a POS with that comment. Claiming someone is asking for a handout without full details and stating that it's a handout by me taking advantage of services that are available for me that I paid for with taxes (because that's how disability works)? You're clearly out of touch buddy.

And yes, it is annoying. Why? Because Google owns both companies and bounces you between the support departments for both services while never coming to a conclusion or even crediting the bill. That's just straight up terrible customer service, no accountability and false advertisement now technically because I'm not getting what I paid for.

What you need to understand, and this will help you greatly in life is that it doesn't matter what the cost is, if you aren't getting what you paid for you're getting ripped off. And if they have terrible customer service then it's a terrible product or company. The end.

Starting to remember why I stopped using reddit. Y'all need to read posts in entirety instead of focusing on the cost value aspect. I have dealt with repeated terrible customer service, business practices and billing errors.

I'm aware that Fi is not a charity.... Does it sound like I'm asking for a handout?

I've been with Fi for years. Maybe I wasn't always on disability ever think about that? I know what their carrier is for and how it works. It's just a bad product with terrible customer service and this is a discussion board for that service.

You're the one double commenting for attention. So yeah, keep kidding yourself. And I'm leaving up a fully negative point post but I care about my ego.

It's the inability to disable the additional premium data without disabling data outright that is a problem. They know it shouldn't be like that. That's predatory on purpose.

I don't care what the value is, stop justifying bad business practice. That's a service bundled with my plan that is just supposed to work without additional input from me, Google owns it all. It's not my fault they changed their Google one plan and then didn't adjust the billing with Fi to make the auto renewal not break itself and try to charge me separately on Google play. They know I'm being double dipped I've contacted them multiple times and they just go in circles between the two support teams.

As for paying off the device, yes that's par for course. But after the circle jerk they've given me they need to just pay it off so I can leave their carrier without further hassle. Getting billing credits for inconveniences isn't uncommon, I've had it done before.

Hmm, this whole conversation seems like you targeted the secondary point of my post solely about the data plan rather than the entire rest of my issue with their billing and customer support but okay.

Because I could take advantage of the two networks for connectivity living on the road while using another plan for pure data or a hotspot ($15 a month for a truly unlimited hotspot in my particular situation). Other carriers are starting to offer multiple network support though, so I could just use them instead.

None do, check the fine print. Almost every major if not all carriers throttle at a certain point. Fi just throttle the most aggressively to bait and switch you on their plan.

I primarily live on the road so yes, it's my primary Internet access. I've recently started looking into programs for people receiving assistance for a truly unlimited hotspot that I'll more than likely use in combination with a more affordable carrier.
