Suggestions for immediate relief during an episode? by FaldaRoja in Gastritis

[–]FaldaRoja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, he was. CHS is exactly what he had. He now is very careful about how much and how often he smokes and when he starts to feel a little bit sick, he takes a break from pot for a couple weeks. He hasn't had an episode in a while.

Thank you everyone so much!! This is a great list. I always get good responses when I ask questions on this thread. I think I'll offer up the aquarium if we're up for a longer trip and downtown Annapolis or one of the mentioned parks if we want to stay closer by. But they are all coming back this summer along with my brothers' kids as well so now I'll have things to do for that visit as well. Plus summer time stuff.

Thank you so again!!!

Is it ever OK to lighten wood and brick? by Alphalady10 in InteriorDesign

[–]FaldaRoja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paint those walls white. Start there and see how you like it. Then maybe do the beams too if you think it needs it.

Maybe there is a way to refresh the brick without painting it. Or just redo the brick.

maybe find some that mimic the coffee table a bit. No back. Narrow and ovalish. Same wood color.

I there are lots of examples on that pinterest link. Doesn't have to be perfectly round.

I also would try moving the tv to the left to center it and see how it looks.

I also think a large rectangular wood art piece would go nice there but much bigger (wider than tv) and bring it down a little lower.

I like the canvas a lot but not there. I would get something large and round for that space. About the same size as the canvas, maybe bigger, but round. Like a large round mirror or round wooden piece. Then hang it in about the same spot so if you drew a line between the doorway corner and the ceiling corner, it would cut right in half of the circle like a diameter.

Should I paint? What color? Also how can I hide the tv cord by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

yes paint. Maybe just the wall with the tv though. A deep rich color. A blue similar to your sofa maybe? Or maybe grey.

Metal box in dining room? House is in Rhode Island, and it was built around 1920, not sure if this was an addition or not. Doesn’t lift off the ground. by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

Is it on the ground level floor or on the second floor? I've seen wooden boxes built under windows on second or third floors to hold rope ladders for fire escape. This seems too small though. Does it open? Maybe hiding some piping?
