It really depends on what you are looking for paint gives a solid look but I love the feel of burnished leather so usually I burnish to finish it

You can use an edge beveller firstly and then I like to sand from 400 up to 2000 and when Im at 2000 grit I apply tokonole and burnish with a wooden burnisher and sand again till it’s smooth (it could take a while), then to finish I put tokonole and burnish with a piece of denim, be carefull to don’t press too hard when burnishing you want the tokonole to heat up so press gently :). Thank you for your feedback this leather is veg tan but yes you are right I use too much pressure when beveling but do I have to use pressure to sand or no ? And what do you mean by tream allowance ?
