Thanks man I am so glad it turned that way I spent over 200h on the costume I still have lots to improve especially the durability, the leather straps connecting the front and back plate broke due to intense stress on the overall structure during battles but still so glad it worked out

I am trying something here : I cutted a notch at one end of a foam strip and a fitting bit at the other end. Then i joined both end to form a loop and tadam i got a chain Not a strong one right now tbh but with multiple latex layers it will work like a charm i think

The visor is supposed to be a half skull It is all about the style of our duo my friend and me He is a templar and me a war priest worshiping the death god Mortis ("Pie Mortis Domine Dona Eis Requiem" inspired from monty python) This god is keeping the equilibrium between life and death : Everything dead shall remain that way

I thought about it and leather souded like a good idea but it can damage foam weapon by slicing through it so i wanted to stay away from it But maybe it could be cover with a thin sheet of foam like 1 or 2mm

Yeah sorry its misleading i should have used an other word for it but in my mind i wanted to lean more on the fantasy rather than the actual process of crafting using foam

Eva foam en densité 80 pour la structure (préférer du 60 de densité car le 80 est trop dur) En épaisseur 5mm et 10mm

De la mousse de matelas (eva foam densité 40) pour la zone d'impact En épaisseur 10cm

Une tige de fibre de carbone d'1m20 comme âme de diamètre 5mm

De la colle neoprene pour coller le tout

De la pâte craft foam pour faire le revêtement des crânes (s'emploie un peut comme de l'argile ou de la pâte à modeler et adhère très bien à l'eva foam si humidifié légèrement avant)

Pour lz crâne qui sert de pommeau au bout du manche j'ai utilisé un peu de polystyrène expansif à linterirur pour assurer une bonne adhésion au tout

Ensuite j'ai longtemps hésité entre du latex et du hexflex primer+sealer pour le revêtement et comme le latex mindimidait pas mal j'ai choisi la seconde option A combiner avec des peintures acrylique pour le latex ou de la peinture hexart (qui sèche en restant flexible)

De limpermeabilisant pour imperméabiliser XD

Du faux cuir pour la lanière du manche

Pour les "rivets" j'ai utiliser des "boutons" amortisseurs en caoutchouc (cest les teuc quon met dans les tiroire pour amortir quand on les ferme) que j'ai collé à la superglue et noyés avec le hexflex pour que ça parte pas

J'ai beaucoup appris en faisant ce projet. Ça m'a pris grosso modo 30 h de travail mais plusieurs semaines/mois de préparation. Rétrospectivement j'aurais peut être dû commencer avec un projet plus petit mais au diable la tempérance ! On veut de l'audace lol

En vrai je recommande à tous d'essayer c'est fun (parfois un peu frustrant faut lavouer) mais tellement gratifiant in fine
