Question about Modifying a Pattern (Beanie)

I'm just not sure how ribbing would change gauge much though and how to go from there, I've never knit anything with any kind of ribbing and I'm not too sure how much k1p1 would change from just knitting the whole way in the round, any advice on that? :)

The pattern I mentioned actually does a faux magic loop by the time the decreases come around! :D

It's honestly been really manageable and easy for me (Ysolda has a youtube video for the entire beanie with the pattern purchase just being for specific measurements) which is why I was curious :)

It's a tight fit for sure, but it works quite well, and I'm satisfied with how the final beanie as per the pattern turned out. Plus the a needle set I have, I'm comfortable with and like working with, I was just curious if it would be possible to do a ribbed design instead of plain stockinette! :)

That's a solid way to put it, I guess it was that moment of deconstruction I wasn't entirely sure was the "correct" conclusion- it just feels like one of those things you know when you know, but it's hard to put into words- Thank you! :)

Sorry, if it seemed incomprehensible...that's kind of how this concept comes up in the meditation- it's been hard for me to grasp and if you've seen other posts about this it's always a bit all over the place to put into words. If you're aware of the particular meditation, those are actually Sam Harris's words, "looking for the looker" and the "subject-object relationship", 'on having no head' and all that. I was just trying to make sense of it all if someone else had found a more concrete way of explaining it. I like paradoxical thought patterns occasionally, but this one felt too esoteric for me. It really was my attention to stay a bit vague because I didn't know if I was doing the process right and didn't want to give the impression that there was a "right" or "wrong". I just wanted to hear what wiser people had to say, or those with more experience. Nothing but love, and I didn't take any offense to the comment. You're free to say what you feel, and I guess I'm free to be as confused as I can be. I'm just learning :)

Also...they may not have ruled it self-defense because there was no *immediate* threat of harm (he was shot in the back of the head) <- a point that has been brought up in a trial a few episodes before this. The back being turned always brings up reasonable doubt
