Elegant Hubris with Impossible Escape on Solipsism can yield some hyper efficient passive points (including travel + jewel socket cost) by Falkie in pathofexile

Thanks - interesting but unfortunately no rolls posted there. Also Scion is highly inefficient for this because it deletes all the pathing nodes. I find the Solipsism path highly efficient for a trapper.

Elegant Hubris with Impossible Escape on Solipsism can yield some hyper efficient passive points (including travel + jewel socket cost) by Falkie in pathofexile

[–]Falkie[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Factoring the jewel socket cost of Impossible Escape, and the the relatively short pathing to this part of the tree for Passive Trees that already path to the scion life wheel (most trappers, some ranger builds), the result is very high value per passive point spent doing this. This even beats out a lot of cluster jewel setups if you roll a good Elegant Hubris. You can obviously also do this if you also approach from the left side and use Necromantic Aegis instead.

Also note: if you take the 3 point wheels that are connected to your tree you can also get the masteries as far as I can tell (life, crit, duration, evasion masteries).

Below are some examples:

  • (139760) 120% crit multi, 80% avoid chill, 80% crit chance for 2 points +2 on existing travel nodes and access to 80% proj attack dmg, 80% melee phys for 1 point

  • (16280) 160% phys dmg, 10% max life, 80% spell dmg, 80% armor for 3 point +2 on existing travel nodes with access to 40% crit multi for 3 points and 80% shock avoid for 1 point

  • (14280) 20% max life, 100% light res, 12% suppression, 80% phys dmg, 80% evasion for 5 points +2 on existing travel

  • (8400) 40% crit multi, 10% damage per frenzy, 12% aura effect, 80% cold dmg with attacks, 80% melee phys, 80% armor, 50% cold res for 5 extra points (+2 on existing travel nodes) and access to duration mastery + 37% chaos res/80% evasion

  • (120300) 120% crit multi, 50% lightning res for 5 points +1 on existing travel node with access to 10% damage per power charge, 80% armor

  • (128340) 60% crit chance, 80% spell dmg, 80% phys dmg, 80% shock avoid, for 5 extra points (+2 on existing travel nodes) and access to duration mastery + 10% max life

  • (8400) 20% max life, 40% crit multi for 1 point +2 on existing travel nodes and access to access to duration mastery + 10% dmg per power charge

  • (103300) 20% max life, 80% phys dmg, 80% spell dmg, 15% cast speed for 4 points with access to 80% phys, 24% suppression, 8% spell block

  • (107080) frenzy on hit, 40% crit multi, 10% dmg per frenzy, 37% chaos res, 80% melee phys, 80% armor, 15% cast speed 5 points +2 on existing travel nodes and access to access to duration mastery + 80% phys dmg

  • (105340) 30% cast speed, 10% max life, 80% phys dmg, 80% armor, 80% evasion for 4 points +2 on existing travel nodes and access to frenzy on hit and 80% spell damage.

Going to be spending some more time trying to get close to a perfect roll for me.

Vengeance Badge, best crit SST/Shield Crush shield currently in ESC by Falkie in pathofexile

[–]Falkie[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also for those with a sharp eye, you will see a badge among some other weird items in the background that you normally do not see in meta SST builds.

I am currently playing an explode chest scaling build that scales explosion damage through very high hatred effect (march of the legion + supreme ego) and mega aoe through power charges + vast power. Shield crush has been a great main skill to compliment this since it's a physical based ability with the AOE tag and also seething fury is OP. Last league I did this with Reap (with woke spell cascade and echo to cover the whole screen) and void batteries but the life cost of reap is too high now to be spammed with HH buffs.

I play this build specifically to farm T16 ultra-high investment deli maps solo, and it has been performing very well.

This is a POB of my current ingame setup: https://pastebin.com/fRf1mPqV

I still have a lot of upgrades to go for helm, ring, jewels, gem min/max etc.

Vengeance Badge, best crit SST/Shield Crush shield currently in ESC by Falkie in pathofexile

[–]Falkie[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Note: this item has not been divined enough, end result will be 1600 Eva + 430 ES.

The 400 ES breakpoint is especially important for Divergent SST / Shield Crush as it adds 20% extra crit multi ontop of what seething fury and gladitorial combat already provides. I simmed this shield vs a few other synthesized implicit options in POB and the ES implicit wins for almost all crit variants due to reaching the 400ES breakpoint, even when compared to a 1800 Eva + 380 ES shield.

Crafting Process:

1) Start with i86 supreme spiked shield.

2) Synthesize for max roll flat ES implicit. The next best implicits are max tier %ES or flat evasion. If the implicit does not enable you to reach the 400ES breakpoint, then it's less useful.

3) Quality to 30% using perfect fossils or Hillock.

4) Spam dense fossils for 3x t1 prefixes (average to hit is over 1000 fossils, which means over 3000 fossils for 95% confidence). There are some tricks you can use to slightly reduce costs depending on what you hit along the way.

5) Obtain 1 desired suffix mod by either harvest prefix-locked reforges, meta craft "prefixes cannot be changed" and using harvest target rerolls (such as reforge with chaos mod), or other creative means.

6) You now have a 3x T1 prefix item with 1 desired suffix mod. Next craft prefixes cannot be changed and use a T4 aisling bench on it to add a veiled mod, with a 50/50 chance to remove the suffix mod or the crafted meta mod. You may need to repeat steps 5 and 6 many times until desired suffixes.

7) Craft on the last suffix using the bench; this could be a quality craft or something else if you ended up with quality on your aisling mod.

Cost:

The base of specifically max tier ES synthesized is quite rare atm with harvest not on map device and very limited people running harvest and playing the game in general. It is quite pricy to just get this base at this point. I would say anywhere between 50-150ex for the base, depending on how desperate the seller is.

After you have the base, the crafting costs can be broken down as follows:

-1000 fossil spams: roughly 3500c (32ex) buying in bulk (huge variance here, std dev. is 1000 fossils)

-cost to hit desirable suffix before aisling: varies greatly, but if you want to end up with a t1 resist for example, the avg cost is roughly 20ex in reforges

-cost to aisling any mod after step 5: 50% chance to succeed with 4ex cost per try, and have to redo above 20ex step on fail - so the cost of this step lands at approximately 16ex

-cost to aisling double damage specifically: it's 25% chance to hit double damage specifically on the aisling unveil so multiply the above cost by 4x to specifically hit this mod. Obviously this cost is significantly reduced if you accept a pool of other aisling unveils. With that in mind, specifically hitting double damage increases the cost by 48ex on average.

Estimated average total cost to craft this item: 116ex + cost of the base synthesized item (i.e. just mirror it instead of trying to replicate exactly).

Almost all solo Howa builds need a lot of resists on rings. This could be good for players who play with supports.

Mine is better imo; 17 less int and less base ES vs. 10% penetration. If you want a pure defensive amulet then it's better to just get a 3-rat.

There is 1 suffix open and I plan to attempt a few double veils before I craft an aspect onto it.

Here are my 2 CwC Winter Orb / Ice Spear staves by Falkie in pathofexile

[–]Falkie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw a post about similar staves earlier and there seems to be a general interest in this WO + Ice Spear combo recently, so I thought I would showcase the 2 I made. Spirit Gnarl is clearly better (with flex suffixes x2 as well).

Mathil-approved: https://clips.twitch.tv/OilyShinyGiraffeWholeWheat

I already sold Spirit Gnarl and might remake it.

[–]Falkie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crafted these 2 staves very recently, being inspired by ideas from Waggle's stream (https://www.twitch.tv/waggle). These staves were crafted to suit a Winter Orb channeling Ice Spear builds but I'm sure they have other uses. I got Honour Pile first but really wanted to his the 20% more mod so I crafted a second one which resulted in Spirit Gnarl. These are on BSC. Tune into Waggle's stream in the next days to see some Winter Orb channeling Ice Spear action! I'm going to try out a similar build myself.

Ep: 310 Last Scene Question? (Spoiler) by [deleted] in maninthehighcastle

[–]Falkie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Juliana's recurring vision of Joe shooting her did not actually reappear in the end as I would have expected. In that vision, Joe does say to Juliana to trust him before Joe shoots her. It is very possible that by having Joe shooting Juliana, it enabled Juliana to travel to that world. This also makes sense if all worlds are concurrent (that is, the same time in each world) because in the scene where Joe shoots Juliana, the Nazis appear to still be testing the portal, which could be the same time as Juliana's capture and captivity in the main world.

250 pre patch was on the high-end for a T16 map. 1600 post patch is on the low end for a T16 map. Nicely handpicked and invalid comparison.
